I sat in the Warthog examining my helmet. They were heavily armored. Did they really expect these enemies to be so brutal? I slid it on and we kept going. We were heading to a forward operations base where a group called Noble Team, were sitting around. When we stopped I jumped out and walked towards the door. I passed a man sitting in a Falcon loading up a gun. I guessed that it was Emile or Noble Four. I walked in and saw someone talking to Colonel Holland. He was the man who contacted me. I almost recognized the voice. Sitting around was Kat or Noble Two, Jun or Noble Three, Jorge or Noble Five, and I was their brand new shiny Noble Six. My name is Sienna. I don't share my name much so everyone just gives me nick-names.
"We've lost contact with the Visegrad Relay. I need Noble Team to check into it and re-establish a comm link." Holland said
"Yes, sir. We'll get on it as soon as possible." the man said
"Make sure of it, One. Holland out." he said
"So, you're our new Noble Six." One said to me
"Yes, sir." I almost choked up I knew who this was.
I'll spare you the long back story. One long story short, me and Noble One or Carter were married. He cheated on me and left for good. Leaving me a kid and no money. Which is why I'm here.
"Good, well let's get out of here. I won't lie to you you are filling some shoes the rest of the team would much rather leave empty." he said as we climbed into the Falcon
I followed him out of the building and into another Falcon. I sat across from Carter and next to Jun. i didn't want to say anything. I would let him try to find who I was on his own. I pulled out my assault rifle and made sure it was loaded up. We were brought down to an abandoned area. We head a distress beacon go off. We jumped off and Jun examined the immediate area as I walked around to a few empty buildings.
"Six, move up and examine the buildings. Don't worry we've got your back." Carter said
I seriously doubt that, Carter. I thought
"Empty." I said as I walked around
Except for all the dead bodies. I thought
"Good, we're coming through. Jorge is already at the next building." he said
I turned around and saw heat signatures in the next building. I ran over and pushed down Jorges gun. I knocked on the door.
"Kérlek menj el!" a woman yelled
I knew the language. It was Hungarian. She was afraid.
"Kérjük, nyissa ki az ajtót!" i begged
A few seconds later a older man opened the door.
"Jorge ask why they're here." Carter said
"Miért van itt?" Jorge asked
"Whats he saying?" Carter asked
"He said they heard a noise from the forest. It attacked the house but only killed his son." I translated
"Alright tell them the we'll check it out, tell them to stay inside." Carter said
"Akkor nézd meg , bent." I translated to the man
"Rendben , köszönöm." the man said and went back inside
Me and Jorge walked off little ways on patrol while Carter and the rest were working on a plan.
"Beszélsz magyarul?" he asked
"Igen , ez az első nyelv otthon." I said and laughed
As we walked back carter told us to move up. We came to an empty field.
"Bogies, inbound!" Carter yelled
We took defensive positions and took them out.
"Five and six you're with me!" carter yelled "There's a warthog nearby! Let's get to it!" he said
"Yes, sir!" we said
I ran towards the warthog when an elite covenant elite tackled me and scratched my right shoulder deep.
"Get off of her!" Kat yelled and shot him
"Thanks." I said simply
"Are you alright?" she asked
"No, that bastard got me." i said
"Six is hurt. Repeat six is hurt." Kat said into her radio
"On our way. Hold on six. Jorge grab the med kit." carter said
Kat removed the armor surrounding the wound.
"She's bleeding severely." Kat said
"Shit, we haven't got the medical supplies we need." carter said
"Have you got thread, a needle, and gauze?" I asked through my teeth
"Yeah." he said
"Then you have what you need." I said
I pulled off my helmet and wiped the sweat off my face. Carter began to thread the suture needle and poked it through my skin. I hissed in pain.
"Almost done six." he said
I felt him tie it off and break the thread. He laid down a piece of gauze and taped it down.
"Thanks." I said
Jorge carefully placed my armor back on and I slipped my helmet back on. We got to the warthog. I jumped into the drivers seat and carter jumped into the passenger seat. Jorge was in the back with his machine gun.
