Halo: Reach; What really happened

Chapter 2

As we were driving we found more Covenant attacking. We took them out and grabbed whatever supplies we needed. We got back into the warthog and kept going.

"Noble Leader, I'm picking up a distress signal!" Jun said.

"Mayday! 3 Charlie six, does anyone read? We were attacked by covenant forces. The covenant is on Reach. I repeat: the Covenant is on Reach." a man said on the comm

"The troopers we're looking for?" Jorge asked

"Let's move, Six. We've gotta find the source of that distress call!"

I slammed my foot on the gas and the warthog sped forward.

"No disrespect, but don't we have more important things to do than round up strays?" Jun asked through the comm  

"We don't leave people behind. You see those troopers, you let me know." carter answered

"Noble Leader, I'm seeing possible friendly forces under attack just south of your position, over!" Jun said

"The troopers!" I said

"We're under attack, repeat, mayday, mayday, 3 Charlie six, we're under attack by the covenant, I've been wounded, cannot hold this position much longer." the same man from earlier said

"Wee need to find those troopers now!" carter said

We got to the building where the soldiers were cornered. Jorge and Carter jumped out. I pulled out my assault rifle and shot down as many covenant as I could in one clip. An elite threw a sticky grenade at me. It stuck to my boot. I pulled it off and threw it back. Another elite came at me with an energy sword.

"Six! Look out! Energy sword!" Jorge yelled

I was knocked down. The elite hovered over me and pressed the sword against my throat. In the blink of an eye he was off of me, dead.

"Come on." Jorge said

"Thanks." I said

We ran towards the building and reloaded. Another drop ship came.

"They just don't stop!" A soldier yelled

"Noble Three, we've located the troopers, we have wounded, request immediate evac." Carter yelled into his comm

"Solid copy, commander. Recalling Falcon Charlie 2. Hold that evac position." Jun said "Be advised I have visual of inbound covenant dropships!"

We cleared a landing zone for the Falcons. We suffered minor loses. One soldier was wounded badly and another was unfortunately killed. We piled into the Falcons and Jun and Emile were working the turrets. We were brought to another building. The soldiers were in a separate Falcon and taken to a medical center. We were brought down and Kat and Jun had taken a separate Falcon and got there before us.

"Take us down there pilot!" Carter said

"Are you sure, sir? The LZ is pretty hot." he said unsure

"Take us down there! We need to cover Kat!" he said to me

We landed and Carter, Jorge, and Emile jumped out. I jumped out last.

"You know what to do, Six!" Carter said

"Yes, sir!" I said

I stood at the door where Kat was and provided covering fire.

"Six! I need you over here!" Carter yelled

"Jorge! Can you cover Kat? Carter needs my help!" I said

"Go! I can cover her!" he yelled over the gunfire

I ran over to Carter and provided covering fire while he reloaded.

"How much longer, Kat?! We're running out of ammo out here!" Carter asked into the comm

"I've got it! If you don't get in now, you're not getting in!" Kat said

We ran back towards the bunker. As I was running an Elite jumped on me. I tried punching him and hitting him. He wouldn't move. My magnum was little ways away, but I couldn't grab it.

"Six! Your knife!" Jorge yelled

My knife! Of course! How could I forget! I thought

I pulled the knife from my shoulder holster and stabbed him in the head. I got up grabbed my magnum and assault rifle and dashed for the bunker that was slowly closing. I jumped towards the door and prayed I would fall in before I was stuck with an army of covenant.
