For the most part, Jimin was able to avoid Jungkook at school. Even during practice, he found himself easily tuning the other captain out despite the younger's various attempts at provoking him.
Oddly enough, the brat seemed to get the hint and left him alone after that. Jimin barely heard anything from the boy for the rest of the day and that includes the only class they ended up sharing, Trigonometry class. The first time he had seen Jungkook enter the classroom, he swore he almost turned homicidal. He had tried ignoring him at first, but when small paper balls started flying at his head, his patience broke. What was he, five?!
After receiving an earful from their teacher, Jimin promised not to let anything like that get to him again and to his surprise, Jungkook seemed to have backed off too.
But even despite his day turning out unexpectedly well, Jimin still couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
"Jimin, are you listening?"
The brunette snaps to his right, locking eyes with an impatient looking Taehyung.
"Ah, sorry... I was distracted." He admitts, giving the blue haired boy an apologetic smile.
"Clearly." The taller huffs, leaning against his locker. "I was asking if you wanted to come over tomorrow to watch a movie or something."
Jimin groans out in a deep sound of despair. "I wish I could, Tae, but I can't. Mom and Lena are going out tomorrow so I have to babysit Jihoon."
Taehyung makes a face. "Isn't Jihoon, like, twelve already? Can't he be left alone for a few hours?"
"Oh, believe me, that little pest cannot stay all by himself at home for even a few minutes, let alone hours." Jimin grunts, closing his locker with a bit more force than he intended to before slinging his bag over his shoulder.
"That's a shame." Taehyung sighs, begrudgingly accepting that he'd have to spend Saturday all by himself without his best friend to keep him company. "Guess I'll just spend the whole day laying in bed then."
Jimin chuckles, sympathetically brushing the younger's hair. Taehyung swats his hand away, complaining about his ruined hair in a way that has Jimin wanting to pinch his cheeks.
As they arrive outside at the parking lot, Jimin realises something. "Oh, shit. I think I left my Chemistry book in my locker." He curses, mumbling a quick apology when Taehyung audibly sighs. "I'll be right back, promise!"
Rushing back inside the school with urgency, he took note of how empty the hallways had become by now. It was past five in the afternoon, so most students had likely already finished their classes and headed home.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he notices a shadowy figure. Before he can process what's happening, a pair of muscular arms wrap around his waist and pull him inside what looks to be the janitor's closet. Jimin is about to scream for his life in fear he was being kidnapped, but his throat quickly runs dry when he's met with familiar dark, piercing eyes boring into his own.
"Jungkook– what are you doing?" He asks in a rushed breath, trying to calm his racing heartbeat as Jungkook's arms hold him tightly.
"What the fuck is your problem?" The younger's voice fills the space between them, a rough edge to his tone.
Jimin gives him a look. "Excuse me?"
He doesn't even notice when Jungkook starts guiding him against the wall until his hips are firmly caged between the cold surface and Jungkook's hands.
"You crash my party and get all up in my face to piss me off and suddenly the next day it's like I don't even exist?!" He snaps.
Jimin pauses. He blinks a few times. "Wait. Hold on." A small smirk slowly pulls at his lips. "You're mad because I've been ignoring you the whole day?"
