"And despite being such an ass, people still look at him like he's some type of God, or something. It's so fucking annoying; it's like no one besides me can see how much of a jerk he actually is."
So, not letting it get to him was apparently a lot more difficult than it sounded initially. Three days have gone by and Jungkook was still being a huge pain in the ass everytime Jimin was anywhere near that human garbage. Which, unfortunately, happened a lot because of basketball practice. Jimin used to enjoy Basketball. It had always been one of his favorite sports and something he was actually good at. Playing basketball was what let him set himself loose in familiar, rehearsed movements that pushed away all the stress and anxiety he had to deal with on a daily basis.
But now, thanks to a certain dickhead, basketball practice had become a time where sly comments and sharp remarks were made to distract him, not to mention the occasional ass-beaten he had to suffer everytime their coaches had the insane idea to put their teams up against each other – which thankfully didn't happen very often since they hadn't completely forgotten how that went the first time.
The frustrating had gotten to him so bad that Jimin had to find ways to let it out somehow, which meant his closest friends had already began to grow tired of the same name slipping out of Jimin's mouth in endless rants.
So much so that they had started to keep score of everytime Jungkook's name was mentioned.
"Jimin, I love you and respect you a lot, you know I do, but it's like the fifteenth time we hear you talk about Jungkook." Taehyung tiredly pointed out, his arms folded. "And that's not counting the other days either. You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you've got a mad crush on the guy." He snorted.
Jimin gave him a dumbfounded look, as if Taehyung had offended his ancestors. "Excuse me?!" He huffed. "I'd rather stick my head in a pile of horse shit, thank you very much."
Taehyung smirked to himself. "Yeah, bet."
The brunette stuck out his tongue at him and would've probably pinched on his arm hair if he weren't sitting across from him. Instead, he turned to his other friend who he now silently considered promoting to new best friend.
"Hobi, please tell Taehyung here how much of a massive jerk Jungkook is, hence why I would never, for the life of me, be blind enough to get a crush on the twat." Jimin kindly requested, his eyes staring at the blue haired boy with an icy glare while the other just grinned mischievously.
At the sound of his name being mentioned, Hoseok looked up from his book. "Sorry, what?" He asked, confused.
Which honestly wasn't very surprising; the blonde always seemed to have his head in the clouds. Or, well, in a book in this case.
"Ugh, nevermind. You can go back to whatever fantasy world you're reading about this time." Jimin retorted, a pout on his plump lips as he stared pointedly at Taehyung. The blue haired boy was still giving him the knowing smirk.
"I'm just saying..." Taehyung mused, "I've never heard you talk about someone non-stop like this before. Not even your ex. That's just a little weird, don't you think?"
Jimin didn't hesitate to grab an eraser from his pencil case and throw it his way. Taehyung easily dodged it with a chuckle and that pissed Jimin off more.
"I think Taehyung's right, though." Hoseok decided to chirp in and Jimin's gaze turned to him, "If you really hate the guy that much, why do you keep stressing yourself? Have you, I don't know, tried to ignore him?"
"I..." The brunette couldn't bring himself to answer. No, he hadn't tried to ignore that dickbag.
Hoseok let out a small sigh as he settled his book down. "Look, Hyosun's basketball team is only gonna be here for a few weeks until their school can get their gym repaired, right?" Jimin nodded. "Then don't pay them attention. I'm pretty sure Jungkook only even messes with you because you're always so eager to fire back. Let him do whatever and show him you don't care. Trust me, he'll leave you alone."
