"I don't get it."

"What do you mean you don't get it?"

"I just don't get it," Jungkook mumbles, his eyes remaining on the book in front of him, despite the jumble of numbers staring back at him making little sense in his mind. "It's too confusing."

"Okay, well, which part exactly is confusing to you?" Jimin asks, gesturing to the notes he'd given Jungkook for guidance.

The younger meets his eyes, a deep sigh slipping past his lips. "All of it," he admits.

Jimin blinks up at him, his stare settling on Jungkook's lips as he worries them between his teeth. "All of it?" He echoes in disdain.

His forehead pinches further up when Jungkook nods back. He slumps back into his chair beside the younger, a sigh leaving his lips. "I don't understand how this is so difficult for you to get. It's the basics of trigonometry, it should be simple enough."

"Well, it isn't," Jungkook snaps at him. "All of this shit just looks like satanic symbols to me and it doesn't make any freaking sense!"

Jimin huffs. "You're being dramatic. It's just math."

"The devil in disguise." Jungkook says, pulling a face. He drops his pencil in defeat.

"Oh my god..." Jimin buries his face in his hands with frustration.

It's been half an hour since they started going over the basic rules of trigonometry, which Jimin took the effort to explain in the simplest way possible, with notes and everything yet Jungkook seemed just as dumbstruck as the minute they began their tutoring session.

He turns in his chair, looking behind to his best friend who was stretched across his bed, eyes glued to his phone. "Taehyung, help." He pleads, rather pathetically, though he's starting to grow desperate at this point.

Taehyung huffs in amusement from his spot, shooting Jimin a grin. "I'm not the one Mr. Yeun asked to tutor Jungkook." He reminds, kindly. "You're the honorary student, if you can't help him, no one can." He then quickly adds, "No offence, man."

Jungkook gives him a dismissive shake of his head. "None taken."

"Also," Taehyung continues, "Aren't you doing this for extra credit? It wouldn't exactly be fair if I helped and you still got all the merits."

Jimin stares at him. "It's not like I'm getting paid for this, Tae. If you want the credit, I'll give it to you, no problem."

Taehyung springs up from the bed, a cheeky smile on his face. His attention lands on the notes scribbled down on Jungkook's notebook, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Have you guys tried doing some exercises?"

Jimin snorts. "How is he supposed to do the exercises when he can't even comprehend the basics first?"

"Maybe you're just shit at explaining," Jungkook retaliates, tipping between playful scolding and genuine annoyance.

"Or maybe you're just a brainless donkey who's too stupid to understand simple math," Jimin fires back before he can hold his tongue.

Jungkook stares at him, unblinking. Jimin's chest tightens with looming fear as the younger's gaze slips away. "Screw you," he mutters.

"Focus, people." Taehyung snaps his fingers between them, cutting short their pointless bickering, hoping to set the two back on track, but Jungkook is already standing up to his feet.

"No, fuck this. I should've known doing this with you would be a fucking mistake..." Jungkook trails off, face flooding with fierce emotion as he  fumbles for his stuff. "You're just like the rest of them." He mumbles, his voice saturated with disappointment.
