Silently, Jimin curses the time blinking back at him, red and loud, and fretfully rises his back from the bed. The thorny ache that mercilessly shoots up his spine makes him groan, then brings a flush to his face when he remembers what the pain implies. Worth it, he thinks with a gratifying smile. His eyes flit lazily over to the bedside table, his phone screen lit with the battery icon turned green. Plugging out the charger, Jimin lifts it into his palms, having little time to adjust to the glare as the lock screen flashes in his face.

Immediately, the first thing he sees is the flurry of unread texts Jungkook had sent him throughout the night. He blows out a short breath laced with soft laughter, musing to himself, does this brat even know what sleep is? a thought which is subsequently followed by, how did he not hit the bed the second he got back from dropping me off? I was fucking exhausted.

The memory brings yet more tint to his face. Yet, simultaneously, something hard weighs down on his chest. Reclining his back against the pillows, Jimin opens the conversation.

Jungkookie
Hey angel
I know it's late
And you're probably asleep
And after what happened earlier I know it's likely the last thing on your mind right now, but...
We didn't really get the chance to plan our date
I just wanted to check if you were still up for it
You know after everything that happened last night I understand if you don't really want to anymore
That's fine too
I just
I wanted to check with you
(2:34 am)

Jimin rushes fingers through the disheveled strands of his hair as he reads through the texts. That's right, he recalls. After everything, we kind of left that topic hanging...

They lay in bed for a short while, soft covers and sheets shielding them away from the world as their eyes gazed at each other even through the heavy weight of sleep slowly creeping under their eyelids. A trail of clothes remained scattered across the floor.

"I should go," Jimin whispered, finding even his own words hard to swallow. He wanted nothing more than to cuddle close to Jungkook's side, bathe in his warmth until the morning came to wake them. But he knew it was too much to ask for the moment. Jungkook's mother was expecting him to leave soon, and he couldn't imagine her being too thrilled about finding them in that position, realizing their sessions extended beyond Jimin simply trying to drill some formulas into Jungkook's brain.

"I know," the youngest whined, arm slipping away from Jimin's bare waist. "But I really don't want you to."

Jimin, despite himself, gave him a mournful smile. "I don't particularly like that I have to go home right after getting railed, either," he teased. "My ass hurts."

As he leaned more to his side in order to let Jimin pull himself up, Jungkook eyed him pensively, an air of melancholy encompassing him. Jimin caught the glint in his eyes instantly, a small smile pulling at his lips.

"You'll have more chances to drag me back to your bed, bunny." He winked when the younger met his gaze. "Don't look so sad."

A quiet breath slipped from Jungkook's mouth in response. "I know. It's just-" He didn't finish the thought, looking away as he licked at his bottom lip.
