LONDON
2023

BY THE TIME THE FOUR WOMEN GOT TO LONDON, Medea was close to throwing up, Anahera had a splitting headache and Venus was somewhere in between the two, her hand holding her stomach as she clenched her eyes shut for a second.

Angélique was completely fine— as expected— a small grin spread on her lips. "Shut up." Venus scowled as she leaned against Medea who was focusing on her breathing so that she wasn't sick.

"I didn't say anything." Angé mused, causing the dimpled woman to shoot her a glare. "You didn't have to, it's written all over your face." Medea huffed as she took a sharp inhale.

"Come on. The sooner we get to the hotel, the sooner we can all take a nap and recover." Anahera stated and the three women nodded in eagerness.

The four of them made their way to the hotel they were staying in. "You can't make shadow-porting even a little more enjoyable?" Medea questioned the short woman who rolled her eyes with a smirk.

"It's not my fault you guys are highly amusing after shadow-porting." Angè stated and Venus scoffed. "Cut us some slack, we haven't shadow-ported since... since Tenochtitlan." She finished as she looked down, suddenly feeling more of a drop in her stomach than before.

"Well, in any case. We're here." Medea huffed out as they hauled their suitcases into the building of the hotel. "Finally." Venus groaned as she leaned against her suitcase, scrunching her eyes closed as she held her stomach.

"Okay, who needs Aspirin?" Ana questioned as she pulled out the pills from her bag, causing both Venus and Medea to raise their hands. "Me." They groaned in unison as the person working front desk walked over.

"Hi, can we help you?" The woman greeted with a kind smile. Her nametag shone proudly on her chest. Asley.

Anahera stepped forward with a returning smile of her own playing on her lips. "Hi, I asked for two rooms under Venus?" The short-haired woman asked and Asley nodded.

"Let me go check what rooms we put you in." She said cheerily, turning around— allowing Angé to cringe freely at the chirpy tone.

"She's so... giddy." The short woman cringed, only to be ignored as Venus turned to Anahera with a raised eyebrow. "Why my name?" The dimpled woman questioned.

"Because any of ours would require me spelling it out and I was lazy." The short-haired woman explained with a shrug and Medea nodded from beside her.

"Fair enough." The dimpled woman nodded as Asley made her way back over to the group of four— causing Medea, Anahera and Venus to give her a faux smile while Angélique stared blankly at the working woman.

"We have the two rooms. Room 506 and 507. Right across from each other on the top floor." She stated as she passed over the keys. Venus grabbed them with a nod of appreciation. "Thank you." The dimpled woman smiled and Asley nodded, smiling back before walking away.

"Top floor. Fancy." Medea commented and Angé shrugged. "Well, if you're over a thousand years old and still aren't rich, what are doing with your life." The short woman pointed out and Venus nodded in agreement as the four of them made their way to the elevator. "True."

"I'm rooming with Venus." Angé then declared as the dimpled woman hit the button for the top floor, a grin playing on her lips.

"Go ahead. The last time I roomed with her, she smacked me in the face in her sleep." Anahera huffed, her face scrunched up in remembrance of that night.

"It was an accident!" Venus defended with a pout as the short-haired woman scoffed. "It was terrifying." Anahera corrected and the dimpled woman rolled her eyes.
