THE NIGHT SKY WAS DIFFERENT IN LONDON, than it was in New Zealand. It felt a lot more distant with a lot less stars, mostly due to the City lights of London. Medea, Venus, Angè, and Anahera would all admit that they hadn't missed that. They loved their home, the freeing nature of it, the sandy beaches, the irritating weather, the night sky... it had become a part of them. But in any case, the four of them walked beside Sersi and Sprite as they headed back to their apartment.
Dane walked a couple of feet ahead of them, giving them all the opportunity to hound on Anahera. "Love is in the airrrr." Venus, Sersi and Medea sang quietly from either side of the short-haired woman— Angè clapping her hands to the beat with a small laugh.
Anahera scowled at the four of them as Sprite laughed, watching in amusement. "All of you, shut the fuck up." The short-haired woman huffed and Venus threw her hands up in mock surrender with a small grin playing on her lips.
"Are you really in love?" Sprite questioned as she scowled at the mere thought of the possibility. "What if I am?" Anahera clapped back with a raised eyebrow. "Love is a good thing, Sprite." Sersi reminded, not catching the small frown that grew on Venus's face.
"It can also be ugly. Look at how love worked out for V." The smaller girl pointed out as she gestured to Venus. Angè glared at Sprite, her short form moving to stand in front of her best friend protectively.
"Shut up, Sprite." Angè snapped and the younger-appearing girl threw her hands up in surrender. "Well, in any case, you better tell him the truth, then." Sprite stated and Anahera's lips pulled into a sarcastic smile as she remembered the conversation she had with Dane.
"It sounds like you already told him most of the truth anyway, Sprite." The short-haired woman stated sarcastically and Sprite rolled her eyes. Apparently it was hate-on-Sprite-day. "Relax, he didn't believe me anyway." The illusionist huffed.
Just as Anahera opened her mouth to argue, Dane suddenly spun towards them with a hopeful expression lighting up his face. "You guys wanna get pizza?" He asked, the question pulling an unvoluntary smile from the short-haired woman.
"No, thank you!" Anahera, Sersi, and Sprite called. At the same time, Medea, Venus, and Angélique called out, "Yes, please!"
The former three gave the latter a look causing them to throw their hands up in defence. "It's pizza." Venus pointed out, causing Medea to nod. "Never say no to pizza. Especially from a guy who would 100% offer to pay for it. Free pizza." The tanned woman stated and Angè nodded in agreement, gesturing to the other two as if they had a point.
"You're using my boyfriend for money when we're already loaded." Anahera pointed out, fighting a snort that threatened to escape as she tried to keep her scolding expression. "Never say no to free pizza. Rich or not." Angè argued.
"He won't live forever, you know." Sersi stated softly, pulling them all back to the previous conversation. Anahera's face dropped at the reminder that while she would forever stay young, her second love was not quite as immortal as she was.
"Sersi's right. You should move in with him." Medea encouraged, causing the short-haired woman to roll her eyes. "I live with you assholes." Anahera reminded and Venus scoffed. "Us assholes will still be here in 100 years' time. He won't." Angè pointed out.
"Hera, it's not an easy decision. But just because we've always been together, doesn't mean you're stuck with us. Sometimes love is enough of a reason to live your own life." Venus stated and Anahera frowned.
"Did you ever regret leaving... you know who... for us?" The short-haired woman questioned and Venus's lips rose slightly, showing off her infamous dimples. "Voldemort?" The dimpled woman questioned teasingly, despite knowing exactly who her friend was talking about.
