ANCIENT GREECE
5000 BC

SERSI HAD ALWAYS FOUND HERSELF FASCINATED BY HUMANS. Their love, their compassion, their life. It was something she held dear to her heart and found comfort in.

One thing she didn't particularly like, was the way that some humans were so quick to judge each other. To judge their cultures, skin colors, and origins. To judge love. Men who love each other romantically, and women who love each other romantically.

While there were those of them who supported the love between the same genders, there were hateful people who were angered by a connection that had nothing to do with them.

Medea didn't care much for the humans, but she did care. She supported humans loving each other in any form, whether it was discriminated against or not. Greece was freeing, people didn't care much for love between the same gender.

Hence why Sersi and Medea hadn't found the courage to tell each other about their feelings, or even think about it. It had been two thousand years since they came to Earth, and they were still terrified about the way they would be seen, not only by the humans, but also by each other.

The two had taken a stroll through the village and found themselves in a small clearing, the trees stretched over them, shielding them from the hot sun with it's leaves.

"Do you... Do you ever think about love?" Sersi questioned as she sat in the field, her eyes looking down to Medea who lay beside her in the long green grass. "Of course."

"Have you ever... have you ever found interest in someone?" Sersi questioned, just about as subtle as a trainwreck. Medea hummed as she sat up.

"I used to think it was stupid. Venus and Druig have always had this connection with each other— not that they'd ever admit it, and Anahera has always had something for Ikaris- Arishem only knows why." Medea mused and Sersi let out a light laugh.

"Ange has never been interested in anyone. I used to think we were the strong ones, but this one person keeps pushing her way into my heart." Medea had then admitted. She never thought she would find the strength to say something, but here she was.

"Her?" Sersi questioned softly, quietly. Her breathing had quickened slightly, and a small amount of relief flooded her system. Medea froze, contemplating whether to tell the truth or just deny it.

"Mhm. She's really pretty too. She's kind, and compassionate. She loves caring for people. She's strong too, but not many people know it." The tanned woman admitted and Sersi's cheeks flushed a soft red.

"She sounds nice." The shy woman nodded and Medea smiled as she pulled the other woman into her, their lips inches away from each other. "We can't. The humans... the others..." Sersi breathed as if their connection was something she could just break away from.

"Some humans might never fully be okay with who we are. As long as we are strong and we fight for our love, we will make it." Medea pointed out softly, her voice tense as she realized that humanity had a long way to go before acceptance played a hand.

"Besides, the others will always support and love us no matter what. And if they don't, Venus, Ange, and Anahera are a force to be reckoned with." Medea then added with a smirk and Sersi laughed lightly before she leaned in, the two of them basking in their newfound relationship in the pocket of their little hideout.

"Stop it!" Venus laughed as she pushed the mind-reader away from her. She had just gotten back from a mission, sweat, blood, and deviant blood dried on her skin.
