"I will teach you to play like what ? Starts with a W!" Charlie yelled as the team entered the locker rooms, mocking their new coach

"Wussies!"

Russ made his voice deeper, "Yah, defence defence defence!"

Eurydice laughed at their shenanigans, although training was hard, she still liked training with the Ducks, well now Warriors? They knew how to have a good time.

They continued to joke until Coach Orion busted into the locker room unannounced and started to speak to the team, "Eden Hall Academy requires you to maintain a C average to complete."

"Cool."

Eurydice could maintain a C, she wasn't great at her studies by any means but she was passing.

Coach Orion turned to face the team, "I believe it's a bad rule."

They looked around rather impressed, "Alright. Go coach!"

However, their minute of optimism was quickly snatched away, "I don't want any C players on my team. I want B's or better or you're gonna be riding the pine pony. Now you got 1 5 minutes after each practice to clear this locker room, you've  got homework to do."

The man was about to walk away at they took off their pads but he looked back for one more announcement, "Stay clear of the varsity until we play them in the JV-Varsity Showdown. You got that?"

The team mumbled scattered "yes coach" before he finally left, leaving the team able to bitch about their new coach all they wanted.

"I'm so sore, my legs and arms are completely numb." Eurydice complained to Julie who was trying to crack her back.

"Couldn't stretch for even a second, my knees are killing me."

Connie walked up to the notice board in the locker room, checking out what Orion had just put up, "Hey guys, look he posted our positions."

Fulton was the first to check, his eyebrows furrowed as his hands clenched into a fits, "I don't believe this, I play left side not right!"

Eurydice walked up next to Fulton to see if her position had changed, "Still a right winger on second line. You're on my turf now Reed."

Fulton rolled his eyes and hit Eurydice lightly in her arm, making her laugh, before the two went back to their seats.

Russ took a glance at his and was instantly confused, "Third line? That's a major diss."

Banks was easily the one who was screwed over the most, "I'm not even posted."

Connie pointed at his name, "Ya you are, Adam Banks third line, centre. Varsity?"

"I made Varsity?" Banks walked to Charlie confused as all hell, unsure if that was even allowed.

Goldberg was the only one that was still at his seat while the rest of the team clamoured around each other, "That's the great thing about being a goalie, you know? You always know where you stand. I just mind my business and take my place between the pipes."

Averman chuckled, "You're riding the pine pony, pal."

Goldberg's eyes shot out, his stood up hastily and shoved through everyone to see whether or not Averman was just messing with him.

And for once, Averman was dead serious.

Russ confirmed, "Julie's one. You're two."

"I'm backup?"

Eurydice would hate to admit it but it was true, Julie far surpassed Goldberg when it came to goal tending and it was only a matter of time that Julie was first.
