"Ah!" She exclaimed, feeling the cold floor underneath her. A giggle unexpectedly left Nicole's lips once she the snarl his face held. "What? Did I hurt your ego?" She jested, getting up from the floor before brushing herself off.

Aiden scoffed, evidently irked. He watched as she smiled, twisting her neck to look up at him as he simply gaped at her.

She laughed again, expecting a reaction. "What happened, cat got your tongue?"

At this point, he would have a banded with some sort of snarky remark. Or, with Aiden being a hands-on type of person, she reckoned he would shove her or something; considering every altercation they've had since meeting each other.

Her mouth gaped open with utter alarm as she watched him turn around, stomping his way down the hallway, not conveying her with a second glance.

Well, that was easy. She thought.

"My favorite cousin..." A feminine voice came from the foyer's turn, where Aiden had been heading. "How's it going?"

A voice responded, clearly Aiden's. "Fuck off." He scoffed. Nicole Rolled her eyes had his rudeness as she awaited whoever had been talking to Aiden.

"Yikes, who shit in his coffee?" The person came around the corner. Nicole smiled, recognizing it to be Demi, who had been the first person to introduce herself and was by far the nicest person in the Serriano family. "And, if it isn't for my favorite in-law."

"Soon to be." Nicole corrected jokingly, feeling the need to cringe at the acknowledgment of her wedding.

Nicole scanned the brunette with an odd stare, automatically admiring her.

Her long hair was pulled into a bun. Her contagious smile showed off the dimples on both chubby cheeks and the way her big eyes contrasted the green they held, something that seemingly everyone in the family had. She had the most baby-face Nicole had ever seen.

The same couldn't be said about her body and she made sure to show it off, giving her a model complex.

Like right now. The two-piece bikini praising her well with brown and white cow print giving an extra glow to her deep tan.

"So, favorite soon-to-be-in-law..." She smiled. "I was headed to the pool with Kyra, my girlfriend...I think I introduced the two of you. The short, stubby one. Don't tell her I said that," Demi warned jokingly.

"Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to join." She asked.

Nicole Chuckled at her rambling before nodding her head in agreement. "But, I don't have any swimwear. Or, any clothes here."

"That's completely fine, I can borrow you a set." She chuckled. "Then...We can go shopping tomorrow."

She nodded, squealing a bit at the excitement of the word shopping.

Aiden glared at the elderly woman from across the table as she flipped through numerous files, not sparing him a glance. "That shit you pulled wasn't necessary, you know."

She chuckled humorlessly rolling back into the chair. "I think it was, actually." She dropped the files before seeping on the coffee in her hands. "You were gone for too long, my boy. All over the world. Using your title wherever you went, must've been nice."

He scoffed."You know why I left."

"I do. I was the cause, after all. But, during the time you were gone; I think you had forgotten just how things work around here." She smiled, showcasing her pearly white teeth. "I just want to remind you, that's all. The freedom got to you."

"I wouldn't have returned..." He got up, walking towards the ceiling-length window. He glanced down to the pool, seeing the exact reason for his return floating on the water.

He glowered, his eyes strained on the black bikini she had on, which obviously wasn't hers, seeing as how tight everything sat on her curves.

"Oh, I know. Realizing only after a few months that Simona had vanished from Italy," she chuckled. "I figured your return would be long anticipated. Running away from your crazy family with the woman you love but can't have...I knew you were gone."

She stood up, taking a place next to her grandson. "Why do you think..." She pointed out the figure in the water. "Nicole Black suddenly came into the picture."
