"Are we heading back?" Nicole conferred, Smiling at the two across from her.

Krya answered, "After wasting the whole day shopping, I think we deserve a good plate of food."

Demi scoffed. "We weren't wasting anything. You just didn't want to come, and I don't know why I insisted if you were going to act like this the whole day."

She watched the two bicker, completely amused.

After their first real conversation at the pool, Nicole felt a grudge between her and Krya.

They couldn't hold any conversations and Nicole was fine with that, not needing to talk to her, but after spending the day rendering at the fact that they had a common taste in fashion they slowly grew on each other.

"Oh, here we are." She announced glancing out the window.

Demi did the same, but the expression she held confused Nicole as she peeked after them. Demi sneered, "I can't fucking believe you." She scoffed exiting the car, with Kyra and Nicole following.

Kyra didn't say a word snickering at her girlfriend as Nicole tried to comprehend what had made the brunette so indignant.

They entered the restaurant, already having a table awaiting them. They took their seats. Nicole went through the menu as Demi took out her phone.

She peeked up from the card and watched Kyra signal a waiter. "Tell her..." The waiter came closer, almost at her ear. The rest was quieted down.

Nicole raised her eyebrows at the clear secrecy being displayed as the waiter left.

Demi didn't seem to notice, being occupied by her phone. They sat there for forty-five minutes after another server came down to their table.

The table was deadly silent. Demi didn't once glimpse up from her glowing screen, and the other two didn't try and make any sort of small talk.

"Finally..." She heard Kyra sigh, her neck twitched to the entrance of the kitchen. Nicole followed her gaze, excepting a tray full of the best Italian cookery.

Though, whom she saw made her face twist into a scowl. A scoff left her lips, "How planned." She mumbled disgruntled, watching Simona near the table.

The bright smile on her face made Nicole want to purposely choke on the water she had been sipping on. Kyra stood up, greeting her with a hug.

Demi finally put down her phone showing off the same level of disgust Nicole held.

She glanced over to Demi, acknowledging her with a nod which Demi scoffed off.

Kyra rolled her eyes nodding her head backward, gesturing her to leave the table. Demi's stare shifted to Nicole, she mouthed a sorry before pulling out her chair and walking away with her girlfriend.

Simona sat down, a big smile on her face, clearly faked. "Nicole, we meet again."

Nicole leaned back into her chair, a scoff leaving her lips."Unfortunately..."

Her smile slowly dragged down. "Fine, straight to the point." She sighed. "Listen, I don't know why or how this is happening, but this engagement between the two of you is supposed to be taking place."

No shit

She continued. "Aiden doesn't love you..." Nicole bit back her laugh, finding everything the designer had said to this point quite amusing.

"Go on." She told Simona.

"A few months back, I too was engaged to him. I was madly in love with Aiden, and he loved me. The only problem was Evora. She didn't like my background or the fact that I didn't have any relation to a mafia, but Aiden didn't care. I went to go live with them..."

She swallowed greedily before continuing. "Everything was going great until, Aiden found out why Evora wanted me to go live there. She wanted history to repeat itself. She wanted what happened to Aiden's mother to happen to me. And, so we fled."

"What happened to His mother?" She asked further intrigued.

"I'm sure you already realize how crazy Evora is, well, it took me a while to understand how he hated her so much. That's something he should tell."

Nicole took in her words, trying to understand the exact point of it all."So, I'm basically standing in the way of a forbidden romance."

Simona nodded. "All I want is for him to be happy, but he can't if he continues to stay under that roof." She took a pause, glancing at her dead in the eye. "Please, stop the engagement. That way he won't have to stay there anymore. Please..." She pleaded.

She bit down on her lip. She couldn't tell Simona about the whole contract thing, or that there was no way she could get out of the marriage.

Honestly, the thought hadn't entered her mind. She was slowly starting tho except things the way they were.

Nicole was petty, there was no doubt about that, and listening to Simona didn't really change her mindset.

Did she want to help Aiden? She didn't decide yet, but just because she actually had the conversation with the designer didn't mean she was going to do what she had asked. Absolutely not.

So, Nicole being her petty and selfish self, she was going to do the exact opposite.
