"Do you really think this will work?" I asked Hunter as I pulled my suitcase throughout the airport.

"As long as you catch your plane and get picked up, this should work." He said, shuffling around.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Trying to find something. I got to go. I'll see you at the airport." He said and hung up the phone.

I shrugged and walked through security to my plane. I smiled. I was going to see my best friend for the first time since high school.

___________

"I'm nervous." I said, wiping my sweaty palms on my legs.

"Don't be. He'll be excited. He misses you. He talks about you all the time." Hunter laughed.

"Really?" I said, smiling at my legs.

"Mhmm." He said as we parted ways and I walked to my seat behind the dugout.

_________

Buster was just going up to bat when Hunter gave me the signal from third base. I snuck into the dugout and sat in the far corner where he would be sitting.

I watched him walk up to the batter's box and get ready to hit. The pitcher threw a perfect pitch and Buster swung, knocking it into the stands out by the garden. I stood up and screamed from the dugout, watching him round the bases.

The team ran out and stood around the third base line and I stayed back in the dugout.

___________

Buster's POV

I swung the bat, watching the ball sail towards the garden. I smiled and jogged around the bases, seeing my team run out on the third base line.

I rounded third and saw someone sitting in the dugout. I just ignored them and ran to my team that was waiting for me along the third base line. I smiled as I high fived everyone and jumped onto the plate. We all walked back into the dugout and I set my bat down beside my helmet.

Sam's POV

I sat in the corner of the dugout, waiting for Buster to come by me.

"Hey Bust. Can you grab me that water over there?" Hunter said, pointing to a bottle beside me. He winked at me.

As Buster went to walk away with the bottle I grabbed his wrist. He turned around with a confused look on his face.

"Hi Buster." I said, smiling at him.

"Who ar- Sam?" He asked, setting the bottle down.

I nodded and he wrapped his arms around me. I buried my head in the crook of his neck.

He untangled from me and sat down on the bench. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I've been wanting to visit you for a while now. And at your game in San Diego, I spoke to Hunter. We decided that we would wait until Opening Day for me to come down." I said, smiling widely.

"Wait. So Hunter planned all this?" He asked.

I nodded and he got up and hugged him. Hunter smiled at him before Buster walked back over to me.

"Well, I've got one more inning so I'll see you in a little." He said before jogging out of the dugout.

I sat back and sighed a happy sigh. I've finally seen my best friend.
