a date

a few days has passed since the kiss infront of viennas house, vienna and artem started hanging out alot more somehow. they seemed to act like the kiss hadnt happened and continued on with their friendship. neither of them could ignore the feelings they had for eachother though.

vienna was laying in the empty library once again as the sun shone through the windows and down onto her warm skin. a light vibration and notification came from her phone as she pulled it from her pocket.

she left him on read with a confused feeling but she was excited for his arrival. she turned off her phone and listened to the quiet music. the owner of the library loved having vienna there and let her play her own music when no one else was there. libraries in 2050 werent all that busy.

vienna looked up from the book and smiled as she saw the tall man coming towards her. they were the type of friends who always did things couples did but werent a couple. he laid down on the other end of the couch and she moved over to him. his legs were spread ever so slightly and she squished inbetween them and put her head on his chest to read.

"what are you doing?" artem laughed at the greeting he received.

he hesitantly put his arms around her torso and let her relax on him. artem read some of the lines in her book and realized it was a romance.

"vi?"

she looked up at him in a very uncomfortable way so her neck was twisted pretty far. he scoffed and lifted her up so she was sitting normally.

"i was wondering uh.."

he tapped on his thigh with his finger before reaching up and fixing his tie. it was what he did when he was nervous or blushing. vienna smiled once again at him and reached out to touch his rosy cheeks.

"you can say whatever." vienna assured him.

her touch only made him more nervous as he thought she didnt have the same feelings somehow. she had been the one to kiss him both times but he still was unsure.

"would you want to go out to dinner with me?"

her cheeks turned a bright pink as she processed his words. vienna smiled and leaned closer to him so he could feel her breath on him.

"are you asking me out on a date, mr wing?"

his eyes widened slightly as he turned a darker shade of pink from the tone of her voice and the name. he nodded and she smirked from the way he got so nervous around her. artems eyes traveled down to viennas lips for a second before he realized she saw what he was doing.

"dont be nervous."

she moved even closer and he could almost feel their lips touching from the way her head was tilted so their noses wouldnt touch. he wanted to kiss her but didnt know how to move in that moment.
