"Ultron knows we're coming," Steve reminds us all as we settle into the quinjet. We were double checking all of our weapons and such, making sure we had everything we needed.
"Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So, our priority is getting them out. All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done and find out what Ultron's been building.
We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."
That was unfortunately easier said than done.
The plan was to evacuate Sokovia before the fight started, it was going to be hard, but Wanda was our biggest weapon. She used her magic (yeah, I know they are powers, but my mother and brother are witches so I'm calling her powers magic because it's what they are to me) to make everyone in their homes pack a bag and begin to evacuate.
We all partnered up. Veronica was going to be with Steve helping the evacuation, Wanda and Clint were getting people out of their houses, Tony and Vision were going to get Ultron and lock him out of the internet. Bruce and Kilorn were going to be looking for Natasha, and Thor and I were going to figure out what Ultron has been building.
Tony and Veronica would also have to figure out how to turn off or destroy whatever he was building, the two of them were the only ones on the team with degrees in engineering. Which is why to go along with her suit she had an iron man hand piece. Connecting her to FRIDAY. Ultron was hiding out in the Sokovian HYDRA base, according to the Morse code Clint translated from Natasha, it's where she was locked up. Veronica told us that the basement - her lab- seemed to be their interest.
Thor broke down the secret entrance door that Tony told us led to where he found Loki's scepter. It would take us to the cells Natasha was being held in and Veronica's lab. "Go," I told Kilorn after seeing the uncertainty in his face. "Find Nat." Bruce started to look worried as well. I wanted to stay by his side in case he became the Hulk, but chances are we're going to need him. "We'll be fine." I point at Bruce. "And you'll be fine."
Bruce decides to take me up on that.
We split up, Bruce and Kilorn going left and my brother and I going right. We bashed a few robots on our way in. The two of us reached what looked like a workshop. I can't believe Veronica actually used to work from here. The most noticeable thing inside was the huge Chitahuri Leviathan that was hanging by cables on the roof.
