Celebration Night

Peter sat at the dining table beside Susan without his mask,  Franklin and Valeria sat opposite to them. The kids were giving their mother an impish smile making Susan blush slightly and Peter was lost to the in family signals.

" Hey, Peter have some of this," said Susan trying to distract herself from her kids, she served him food that she prepared for her family and sure Peter is considered as one.

" Thanks, Susan, this is delicious, it has been quite some time I had such delicious food," said Peter without noticing Susan's sad smile.

After having the dinner Susan cut the cake to celebrate her new life going forward. Peter and the kids congratulated her with hugs and clicked a group photo that more looked like a family photo.

They then ate the cake, sometimes Valeria fed Peter some from her plate and Franklin nudged his mom. Susan, with a massive blush, fed Peter too making her kids give high five to each other and Peter being the dense idiot, never thought anything of the gesture other than being friendly. The adult had some wine together, they joked and laughed for some time. Susan was feeling a little tipsy but Peter was all fine.

" Ok, mom let's move our hips to the beat," suddenly said Franklin as he played a song then took her hand to the floor.

" What!?? Why?" Asked Susan a little shocked and embarrassed.

" It's the start of a new chapter of your life, come on we will celebrate to the fullest. Come on uncle," said Valeria as she grabbed Peter's wrist and pulled him. Peter reluctantly sighed and let Valeria drag him.

They danced together as the kids looked at each other and winked,

" Partner swap!" Screamed both of them as Valeria left Peter and Franklin nudged Susan towards Peter.

" Huh?" said both the adults as they were paired up by the kids.

Susan's face flushed even more but Peter thought she was red because of the amount of drink she had and Susan's a light drinker.

Susan stared awkwardly at him but Peter smiled and grabbed her and started to guide her to the rhythm of the music.

Valeria and Franklin cleared out the way to let their parents-- one parent and another parent figure dance together.

" Enjoy Susan, it's your day today," said Peter with a smile, Susan smiled and nodded.

They danced for a long time while taking wine in between, Susan looked deeply into his eyes, her vision was getting hazy after consuming lots of wine.

" What are you looking at Susan?" Asked Peter with a smile.

" You..." Slurred Susan heavily.

" I think you had a lot of drink," said Peter but he was surprised as he saw Susan's face closing in on his.

" GO FOR IT MOM!" roared Valeria, slightly scaring away Franklin.

" Susan?" asked Peter nervously as he can feel her hot breath mixed with wine but suddenly she slumped on him.

Franklin and Valeria looked shocked at their mom, Valeria smacked her forehead with her hand.
