Doubt: Love or Pitty? pt2
Goodbye, darling...

Third person's pov:

   — • "INTRUDERS! THERE ARE INTRUDERS!!!", guards from left to right left their post to defend and capture the intruders, Agriche children are fully awake and ready for the chaos.

Jeremy and Roxana got out of their rooms and faced their father. "Intruders? Padelians?", Roxana asked as Jeremy lightly slaps his cheek with his fingers. He grits his teeth, maybe he shouldn't have left Aurum to sleep alone...

"Or Lapises...", He muttered.

Lant turns his head to them, "Roxana, go and check your toy...", He ordered and she leaves...glancing back at her younger brother with worry.

Lant looked down at Jeremy, "Jeremy..."

He thinks about his old friend's daughter. That child is certainly hiding something, that's why he didn't hesitate to threaten her after his confession.

"If you really love my son then don't ever leave the mansion, or else you wouldn't like what would happen next"

Those were the words he said to his daughter-in-law. Was it a test to see if she will leave him? Maybe, if she ever leaves Jeremy then Jeremy will face serious punishment...

"Keep that golden dragon inside your grip and hold it tightly, you understand me?"

Jeremy flinched, feeling frightened by his father's words. But it also lit a fire in his heart, right, he should keep Aurum tight in his grip. He would not let her go, if she tries to escape then he'll immediately capture her back, and she'll be stuck here forever with the contract as her chains.

So he dashed to her room, begging that she hasn't left. He slammed the doors open as he breathed in heavily, "AURUM!!!"

The girl who was still inside the covers of her blanket, sitting and staring at the large windows, turned her head to him. She wears a soft smile and greets him welcomingly like she always does.

"Au...rum", he ran to her and tackled her body as they both fall back to the soft bed. "You... haven't left yet", he mumbles in her ear. Aurum sighs as she hugs him back, feeling the warmth of his body...

"Let me enjoy this moment first", she thought.

Jeremy uses his hands to lift himself, now he's facing her from above with a serious face. "I caught you, you can't leave now...", He says and Aurum blinks them chuckles, bringing a hand up, and cares his cheek so lovingly.

"Not yet, Jeremy, I didn't even try to leave yet...", She muses. The boy furrows his eyebrows and leans down to burry his head between her neck, Aurum flinches when she feels his warm breath touch her skin.

"So you're not going to leave? You're staying? Please tell me your staying...", He begged, whispering pleases into her.

Aurum feels her chest sting, she now realizes that she hasn't felt any pain before...but this boy pierced her heavily shielded heart with his affection.

"Jeremy, will Lant hurt you if I managed to leave?"

The boy stiffened, the question made his grip on her tighter. And the action made Aurum's resolve crack...she doesn't want to hurt him...

Aurum used her strength to lift both of their weights to sit down. Now Jeremy is now basically sitting on her lap as he clings up to her...

Jeremy thinks that his father and his teachings would want him to tie her up or even knock her out to prevent her from escaping...but he couldn't.
