GOLD IN SNOWY WHITE pt 1

——— • Entering the boarders of the Lapis territory had me chilling, literally. Snow was everywhere despite the sun shining above us, and the chilly air had me cover my whole body with a fur coat.

Climbing up the mountain would be difficult if I was using a regular carriage, byt the Lapis family was kind enough to send a special carriage to fetch me.

"Fetch me, right. It would've been better if I had someone else is here with me and not...this guy"

He never aged, he still has the appearance that I saw three years sgo when he saved Aurum from the mansion, still short. Dark hair, a handsome face— not as handsome as me though.

And he wears traditional clothing. What was his name again?

"You're name is Xiao, right?" I asked for clarification. His closed eyes briefly open to look at me, "Yes, young master."

"Young master? How polite"

Glancing at his forehead where a purple diamond mark lies, I immediately thought that he might be an adeptus— immortal mythical beings that protects these mountains, atleast that's what's said in the book I read.

I leaned back and sighed, it will take us a few more hours to get to the heart of the mountains, might as well start a conversation. "How was she during the past three years?" I started.

Xiao tilted his head a bit, "You mean Aurum, right? Well, nothing to be worried about...she was doing great, but—" Xiao abruptly paused, he looked away and stared at the floor, his mind was elsewhere.

I cocked a brow, "But what?" He pushed. Xiao sighed, "Problem with the elders, problem with herself— normal teenage problems...and you," he said, bluntly.

"You mean I was a problem?" I narrowed my eyes in concern, did meeting me took her in an advantage in their household? Did I somehow ruined something?

"Whatever you're thinking, it's not. The kid was just worried about you all the time— you know what? I'm going to stop talking, that's personal issue lovers should take care of," and that was the sign for Xiao to take a rest and sleep, leaving me TO OVERTHINK!

Aurum was thinking of me? All the time? Like how I frequently did?

Was worrying because I might get punished? Might get kicked out of the house just for loving the "enemy"? My father would've literally done that if ut weren't for me being persuasive.

"And here I thought I was crazy for thinking about someone everyday, is this normal for people like us? What are we even? A.. couple? Lovers, right?"

And during that time, my ears were red, and my mind was going crazy from overthinking. So I would advice anyone to stay calm when the topic is someone they like, overthinking is not good for the heart.

Thirty minutes later, I fell asleep, and I woke up when I felt sunlight kiss my eye. Rubbing my face with my gloved hand, fixing my hair, and trying to wake myself up was easier because of the sunlight.

"How long did I sleep?" I muttered to myself groggily and peeked at my watch, "One and a half... wouldn't that mean—"

Curiously, I peeked through the curtains to see the scenery, and my eyes lit up at the gorgeous sight. A City?!

Now this is a fact that I didn't know until now, the Lapises owns a fucking City! As expected from the richest family in the continent, they had the largest territory so it's expected that they rule over civilizations, but a whole city?!

Because it was getting dark, the lights were already opened, and they illuminated throughout the area. Shops, vendors, and people were allover the place. Seeing something so lively and bright made me feel... insecurity.

"Is someone like me even worthy of walking these streets?" I wondered pitifuly. But a "hey" averted my attention to the already awake adeptus. "What?" I replied.

"Welcome to The Golden City, young master," he briefly says.

——— •Despite being strangers to each other, Jeremy felt a bit comforted by the welcome. And soon, the carriage passed by the city and it climbs up another mountain. Jeremy pushed the curtains out of the way and admired the trees adorned with illuminating golden strings and decorations.

And then finally...

"There it is...the Golden Mansion!"

Jeremy was entranced by the sight, it reminded him of Aurum, luxurious and grand, tall and elegant. The carriage paused by the large gates before they continued on, and Jeremy quickly fixed his outfit...he didn't want to look messy.

And with final brushes of his hair, the carriage stopped Infront of the mansion, and Xiao got off first and opened the door for Jeremy.

"The young master has arrived," Xiao announced.

Jeremy carefully walked down the carriage, he carried himself gracefully and elegantly, a skill Roxana thought him. Walking and behaving like this, it was odd for him, but it was to impress and gain his darling's parents' approval.

With his fur coat fluttering, he smiles at the grand trio waiting for him at the doors. His eyes immediately meets with the familiar hues he loves so much.

Blue meets Gold...

Aurum wears a traditional hanfu, dyed in brown and decorated with golden accesories, as always, it looks magnificent on her. Ninguang wears white robes, while Nerium wears black, and both are adorned with gold.

A trademark of the family, if you didn't notice. The family then bows in greeting.

"Welcome to the Lapis' Golden Mansion, Jeremy Agriche, a pleasure to finally know you throughly," Nerium first spoke in a genuine and gentle tone. "We're happy to have you," Ninguang chuckled.

Jeremy bows back, "Thank you for having me," he replied. When he looks up, Aurum was already infront of him, and he wears the pair of the earing he's wearing. I found it intimate as his ears blushed.

"I've finally kidnapped you, Jeremy." She joked as she smirks. Jeremy smirks down at her in agreement, why? Because he was literally kidnapped by Xiao, and no one in the Agriches knows...not even Roxana.

But knowing her, she probably find out. Dion's internally laughing at his father's rage, and speaking of the devil, he's slamming at hi desk. Might even be begging that his son will do his duty.

So this is the start of another chapter in their life, or a re-do of the past. "Be my fiancé with the right and legal methods this time, Jeremy," Aurum said, joking about their dirst meeting.

Forced marriage turned into something real, oh how fate really is amusing. A calm and elegant deagon with a savage beast? How amusing indeed.

Jeremy chuckled, "Please take care of me this time, my Darling~"
