——— • Jeremy pulled Aurum close to him as people starts coming close to them, but of course the family members pushed pass through and questioned them.

"Aurum, is that true? You're engaged to this guy? For real now?" Asked a panicked Cassis.

"Rumy! Blink if you're being forced!" Said Sylvia, the girl was completely shocked about the announcement. Since when did they become close! Aurum never mentio anything about them being close!

The Padekian siblings grabbed Aurum by the shoulders and shakes her, "Answer me, Aurum!"

Ninguang lughs at the sight, this was surely a surprise. As people then strts questioning her, she decided to entertain them and left the adolescents alone.

Jeremy wrapped a protective arm around his lover and pulled her close, "One question at a time, don't pressure her."

But the siblings still can't help but distrust the young boy. Cassis observed him, sure he changed, presence wise. But that doesn't mean he'll change his personality.

That's true, Jeremy's personality is somewhat close to what he had as a young boy, but he believes he's more mature now.

Aurum coughs, "Cassis, Sylvia, I'm fine," she sent them reassuring smiles, and then immediately looks at the two with a serious stare. Sylvia stepped back, "Aurum knows what she's doing, I'll trust her."

Cassis however, feel conflicted. That is untill a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Cassis..."

Ah, that voice. He's been staring at a particular woman for a while now but he didn't want to be clingy. Just a word from her, her voice calling out to him.

That made the esteemed Padelian to freeze. Slowly turning his head around, he's met eith familiar red eyes.

Roxana smiles up at him, "Let's talk elsewhere, shall we?"

Cassis didn't say anything but nods, soon the people questioning the two are finally gone. With Nerium and Lant keeping the head of the Padelians busy, and Ninguang entertainment the rest, the couple was finaly free to breaght.

Aurum let out a loud sigh, "That was a really surprising announcement," she leaned onto his body for support.

Jeremy assists her by warping an arm on her back, "I never knew that your father was such a..."

"Blunt? Straight forward? Crazy?" Aurum suggested, but Jeremy disagreed, "it's more than that, actually..."

Aurum chuckled, "Just wait until ge offers a contract," she said. By the the word, Jeremy begins to have flashbacks frim three years ago, their meeting and their parting.

"I just know he'll create something reckless and dangerous," Aurum said as she sgakes her head. "But, it's for our goal... we'll have to follow a reckless plan," she said.

Jeremy frowned, "I don't think following a reckless olan is ideal, my father might feel cornered now but he cannt be underestimated."

"Heh, you didn't really think father would make one...right?"

Jeremy stared at her blankly, "I mean...look at you— OW!" The young man immediately rubbed his arm. Aurum just hit him, offended by what he said.

"I'll have you know, I grew up!" She argued. Jeremy smirks, "Yes Darling, I can't wait to see it."

Understanding what her fiancé said, pink tint appeared on her face. She stared at Jeremy with an "are-you-serious?!" face before hitting his arm again.

From the distance, Lant watches his son interact with her. He narrowed his eyes, completely ignoring the other men's words.

He felt something in his heart, as if he even has one. He felt like an ant bit it and didn't want to let go, he wants to clench the feeling, scratch it off.

But nostalgia is a feeling hard to ignore.

"Right, I forgot to tell you. Like how my little girl lived in your house three years ago, Jeremy shall live in mine in order to learn more about our culture." Nerium placed a hand on the shorter man's shoulder, "You wouldn't mind, right?"

Lant grunted, "Do whatever you want, we're going home." He brished off Nerium's hand and walked towards the exit. Passing by Jeremy he said, "Call your sister, Jeremy. We're going home..."

Jeremy's eyes widened at the words. No, he wasn't satisfied yet, he wants to spend more with Aurum! He can't leave yet.

Hus grip on Aurum's waist tightened as he pulled her closer, not wanting to let go. Aurum looks at him, baffled, looks like Jeremy can't hide his feelings that good.

Unlike Aurum who's been holding back for hours.

"Jeremy, let go of my daughter. Save that love making once you've arrived at the palace."

Those words from the father of teh woman he loves definitely made him pull backa and backed away, five steps away to ve exact.

With flushed faces, the two adolescents yelled. "We're not doing that!"

Oh, Nerium is having fun teasing them. "Oh don't be too shy, just don't be too loud there, alright? I won't be able to concentrate, I might end up killing you, boy," Nerium teased.

Jeremy took them seriously though, "What is this man saying? I might be an Agriche but I'm not a horny teen!"

Glancing at Aurum, her walls have broken, her face is red and hot steam is coming out of her head. Nerium laughed and hugged his daughter, Patting her on the head.

"I'm merely jesting! (Half of it) Alright alright, go home Jeremy," Nerium smirks at his future son-in-law. "And arrive at the Lapis Palace with pride and dignity, we'll welcome you with wide open arms."

The boy got out of his flustered face, and he nodded. "Thank you for accepting me, Lord Nerium, Lady Ninguang." He bowed his head in respect.

Lant wayches with narrow eyes, he's getting irritated. He feels uncomfortable with all the nostalgia he's feeling. His past....

His past makes him feel like there's a hole in his pants. He want to go home and lock himself in his room.

Jeremy comes back to him with Roxana in tow. He leads them outside and back to their rooms, un-aware that both of his children are plotting his bloody death.
