Carrying a rattan basket on the back, with a sky blue scarf wrapped around your neck, you strolled along the mini market, walked into some of the stalls to barter with the charcoal you got from the forest.

You stopped at the side, far a bit from the crossway to wet your throat, drinking some water. The midday sun makes you hydrated, consuming almost all your energy since you came here in the morning, to gain a source for living and surviving.

Feeling much better, you stood, both your ears overheard those two women chatting while gulping the water from your bamboo bottle.

"Have you heard those rumors?"

"The white demon you mean?"

"Yes! That one! It's tremendously dangerous and whoever meets those will be killed violently! Just thinking about it already freaks me out!"

Done exchanging the stuff, you stroke your ponytail hair, passing by the two mid-women, tittle-tattle like as usual to spice the atmosphere. You glimpse for a sec before leaving the two, continuing your doing.

"I heard it too! And recently it happened every midnight when the full moon and it will snatch you and devour you mercilessly! And mostly, it was only the young woman who was still unmarried! That's why I asked my daughter to not go far away or they're gonna be one of those victims!"

"It's not only that! That monster killed and ate them because that was the way to bring that demon's soulmate! What a tragedy."

"Really? That's quite a tragic life it had. But still it's dangerous for us humans. And you know what? I heard that some hunters are trying to hunt that white demon too as a precaution. Might as well for our village's safety. Imagine that creature roaming freely here and scaring all those people!"

"Hope the hunters catch that demon fast so we can live in peace. Too many victims have been killed in horror lately."

Unknowingly, your heart pounding loud, feels like a sharp knife pierced your back head, you whipped your head impulsively behind you. A tense, uptight heavy feel bond in you. You really hate this kind of emotion sprawling in you, some kind of uneasiness and creep clouding your mind.

You yelped, flinching as someone tapped your waist. Turning your head to the touch, your expression soft. "Kagura-chan! You alone? Where's Kamui?"

"Donno, lost maybe. Nee-chan, why do you look so pale? Are you sick?"

You let out a sigh of relief as your eyes wandered on the adorable cute vermillion hair little girl. You bent, kneeling on the same level as her. "I'm not. Just.. tired a bit."

Her small hand touched your forehead, while the other hand copied on her. "Not hot.... But you look so pale like my mommy. My mommy always on her bed. Pappi said she can't walk around under the sun too long or she will be more sick. Do you want to share my umbrella with me?"

I have to crawl if I'm going to share the umbrella with you .

You shake your head, rejecting her offer. "It's okay, dear. I'm fine. Thank you for worrying about me. I will pay my visit to you mommy later."

"If you say that, then, okay! Nee-chan! Let's play! Pappi bought this doll for me! She's pretty, right?" You agreed with her. "But that stupid bro said she looks like a granny because of her grey hair."

You sweatdropped as the 6 years old girl cursed, but you got used to it. "Sure! But after I finished selling my stuff. Do you want to walk around with me?"

She nodded excitedly, reaching your hand with her small palm. "Hm! Let's go, nee-chan! You know, I just saw a pair of glasses flying in the air! So scary!"
