".... and you are her reincarnation."
Your stammered, a puzzled look sketch on yours.
"T-the reincarnation of.... her? You mean.... her soul.... are in my body?"
The demon halted a few seconds before nodding. Unconsciously, you fondle with the pendant hanging on your neck, gazing in the air. Your eyes catched the color of the pendant orb and just realized it was similar to Hasumi's dark blue eyes but more to the silver dark blue because of the light reflection from the Sun.
You heard his voice interrupted your gaze.
"You okay with this? I won't force you to go on anymore. I know it's...hard for you, not just me. And I don't want you to distress anymore."
You gave him a slight grin, shaking your head, you replied.
"No no, it's okay. I can hold it."
"Sure? Feel any kind of headache or pain.. Or hurt anywhere?"
"I'm fine. I want to know the event after."
You spot his look has changed. It's like the intensity between the two of you has grown, more to a hollow look. He was silent, zipping his mouth from pouring out the untold story. You don't like the expression that was made by him, a hesitation flows in you to continue peeking in the flashback or your past memories just like he told you.
"Hold me."
He offered his right hand to you, gesturing you to take onto his. Grabbing his hand, you followed him, noticing he was quite different from his usual antics so you don't want to make any ruckus. Holding his hand gently, you overlook that your surroundings have changed to another place.
Located in the deep of the forest, surrounded by the green and not far from the house there's a sound of water flowing, believe it was a shallow river as you saw it not far from your feet. The white demon strolled around, quickly you stepped behind him before both of you halted as you catched a sight of Hasumi's head laying on someone's lap.
"I don't want to marry him, Onee-sama. I hate him. Why me? Am I forbid to gain my own happiness? This illness on me already shorten my joy and now they arranged marriage to an abused and mad man."
The older sister heaves a sighed, stroking pair of her hair back behind her ears.
"Believe me, I gave him advice and told him not to keep on this. Even Shoyo-san knew he had no good intentions when it came to political issues. He really opposed it, knew something was wrong when he heard about your arranged marriage with him. Trust me, my sweetheart, my sister.... no one would dare to rip off your own happiness from you as long as I am with you, even Father, I will oppose him not to make my little sweet sister suffer anymore.
But, Hasumi, you know what? Things would be different if Mother was still here. She will be on the same side with me to prevent this marriage from being carried on. It's her fate to pass from the illness while having her own battle for our family, for the city. That's how you should do it. Fight as much as you can with your own strength and I will be there to support you. I know you're better than that."
Offering a smile, the sister pat Hasumi's head gently. The eyes of the young lady lighten, stumble into her sister's embrace, tightly. Her head digging onto her chest, her voice muffled as she said.
"Onee-sama, I love you so much! No wonder Shoyo-san adores you to the moon!" Hasumi popped up, gazing lovely into Akemi.
"Stop it, talk about yourself! You have someone you want to save and protect right? I know that rumors you have a paramour." Akemi gave her a smirk, wiggling her eyebrows. Hasumi reddened, abruptly sitting up while the sister's smirk getting bigger after successfully making her sister blushed hard.
