When Seonghwa's mind finally resurfaced from the warm embrace of sleep, he knew exactly where he was.

The bed was delightfully soft, and the space beneath the sheets kept cozy by their combined body heat.

He inhaled slowly through his nose, mouth twitching with a small smile as he recognized Hongjoong's clean scent.

Drowsily, he fisted a hand in the duvet to bring it back to his chin.

He was warm and comfortable, and Seonghwa never wanted to leave.

Hongjoong was a ball of warmth beside him and Seonghwa rolled over, sleepily pressing closer to the other boy and the heat radiating from his curled body.

Seonghwa's cheeks flushed as he realized, embarrassingly, that he'd literally snuggled up to Hongjoong.

He blinked, eyesight slowly sliding into focus, as he searched Hongjoong's face for a sign that the other boy was awake.

Fortunately, he was still sleeping, one hand pressed beneath his cheek and the other resting in the space between them.

Seonghwa's mouth curled into a sleepy smile as he watched Hongjoong in silence, admiring the way his dark eyelashes fanned over his pale cheeks.

Pink lips were nestled in a small pout and Seonghwa was reminded of the way he'd noticed Hongjoong's tendency to do that while he talked too, just a few days ago – the second time he'd spent the night at Hongjoong's dorm.

It felt impossible that only a couple of days had passed since then.

Seonghwa uncurled his fingers from the blanket and reached out unthinkingly for Hongjoong's hand, slipping their fingers together.

Hongjoong's hands were bigger than Seonghwa's, but not by much.

He played absently with Hongjoong's fingers, mind still threaded with the white haze of sleep, and content to do nothing else while he lay there.

He squeaked when, without warning, Hongjoong's grip tightened on his.

Seonghwa's eyes flashed to the other boy's face and he saw the smirk briefly curling his mouth, though Hongjoong's eyes were still shut.

"It's rude to stare at someone while they're sleeping," he murmured softly, and Seonghwa flushed.

Hongjoong's voice was deep and raspy with sleep.

It was kind of hard to put his thoughts together after hearing it.

"I was not staring," Seonghwa protested weakly. "I-"

"Mhmm."

Seonghwa's flush deepened.

"Shut up."

He could feel Hongjoong's silent laughter shaking the bed.

He still hadn't opened his eyes, though, and Seonghwa was grateful.

It meant that he could ignore the pink blush on his cheeks as he let go of Hongjoong's hand, rolling onto his stomach and pushing himself up onto his left elbow.
