Rebellion

*Way too much History and way too much Rock and roll. The creation? This.*

I want to see fire,
And people rising from the smoke.
I want to see a change
And all that comes with.
I want to see a passion
Strong enough to offer up lifes.
I want to give the little I have
To the cause I believe.
I want a rebellion
and I want one tonight.

I want to see people
Rioting for truth.
I want to see us come
Together and unite.
I need there to be
A rebellion of sorts.
I desperately need
This kind of anarchy.
Not destruction,
But tough love.

Raise up your torches,
Your time is at hand.
Show me what your
Faith has been placed in.
Show me that you believe
In change, in dreams
In a new found salvation.
I want to shake this nation
And get them on their feet.
I want to hear us scream.

Give me liberty or give me death!
I want to hear declared.
I want my Woodstock,
Where we become one.
Where are my Suffragettes?
The ones who stand by my side?
The abolitionist's voice
Still ringing in my ear.
History shouldn't repeat
But a rebellion should.

Shake up this world
Make it unique.
Submission can be weakness
In the right context.
Don't you want to make a difference?
Be remembered for something some day?
Don't let your name be forgotten.
I don't know about you, but I know about me.
I want to be a kindle in a flame.
I want a rebellion tonight.
