We'll Meet Again (Dark Choco x Milk)

8~ Reunion

Dark Choco sprinted through the citadel, toward the passage he entered through, until he bumped into none other than Caramel Arrow Cookie. She was leading a group of unfamiliar cookies.

"Dark Choco Cookie, is that you-"

"You need to leave. Now."

Dark Choco didn't answer her question, rather he pushed her toward the passage she and the other cookies had entered through.

"What's going o-"

Dark Choco Cookie cut her off, "It's not safe here. You need to leave."

Caramel Arrow hesitated, but instead of leaving she only told the other cookies to leave.

"If it's not safe here I will find the other watchers and we will escort everyone out safely."

Dark Choco knew she was capable so he let her go. Besides, he had to find his father.

Dark Choco Cookie spotted his father, with Affogato Cookie, who slipped away when he spotted Dark Choco. Dark Cacao Cookie stood alone.

"Father..."

Dark Cacao Cookie spun around to face his son.

"Dark Choco Cookie...Do my eyes deceive me?"

Dark Choco walked up to his father, knowing full well what he had come here to do. He didn't say anything. He knew what he was expected to do, but it wasn't what he would've done if he were still the same person. He despised his father but he despised the person he had become more.

Dark Cacao Cookie stood in front of his son; sword drawn. His son, however, did not draw his. Instead, he wrapped his arms around his father. He knew what he was doing wasn't what was planned, but it's what felt right. Dark Cacao Cookie was dumbfounded. He didn't expect this kind of gesture from his son, but he welcomed it. Before Dark Cacao could return the embrace, Dark Choco pulled away and grabbed his hand.

Dark Choco Cookie was practically sprinting, Dark Cacao barely able to keep up.

"What is the meaning of this" Dark Cacao Cookie was almost unable to speak due to their pace.

"No time to talk. You're in danger."

Dark Cacao just nodded.

Dark Choco Cookie brought Dark Cacao outside of the citadel, where they saw Caramel Arrow, the other watchers, and more cookies from inside the citadel. Dark Choco Cookie gives a nod to Dark Cacao Cookie, who took it as a sign to lead the cookies out of the kingdom.
