" I thought that Mrs. Murthi must've crashed on you after knowing what you did. " She chuckled putting the morsel of food in her mouth.

He scoffed a chuckle, " Why would you think that Sameer will disgrace himself by announcing that he got all beaten up by a handsome young-man. "

She choked on her food and glared at him, " stop kidding me. You? Handsome? My foot! " She gulped down water.

He made a poker face, " Seriously? " She chuckled and shook her head counting to eat.

" Attention Students! " All the heads turned to Mrs. Murthi as she begun.

" Ari and Soha, these two will be helping you with your projects now onwards. Either of them will be with you while your tour in the palace. " She announced.

It had been a week since they all lived there, by now they knew most of the servants in the mansion. Ari and Soha weren't strange to anyone, except for Maya and Vikram. Were they?

" Hi. Myself Ari, just a year older than y'all. I've been in Jaipur for seven years now. " She flashed her charming smile.

" Hi. Myself Soha, same as your age. I'm born and brought up here itself. " The muscular guy smiled.

Everyone smiled back and dug in their dishes again as the teacher said.

" Rishi " Vikram turned back at the voice, Ari scooted towards him making him knit his brows in confusion.

" There you are " She smiled.

" Rishi? Me? " He pointed at himself.

" Yeah, you. Aren't you Rishi? " She asked as her smile narrowed.

" That doesn't matter. What happened? " He lied between his teeth.

" Soha was searching for you. " She said.

Jogging in the whole mansion didn't turn futile to her. She found Rishi when no one else could.

" Okay. Thanks. " He said and turned his heels to his room. " Where will i find him? "

" Downstairs in the lawn. " She said.

" Vikram, stay alert onwards. " Soha breathed out.

" Yeah. I bet Sameer is planning for something big. " Vikram said staring the black sky.

" Big? He's planning to kill you and Mah—Maya I mean. " Soha snorted.

" Again? " Vikram turned to him.

" Again. " Soha repeated.

" He's sick " Vikram shook his head.

Flashback

Vikram stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets and roamed around in the park.

" Oww " He hissed as his shoulder bumped to the man, " Rishi? " The man mumbled.

Vikram sighed, " Vikram "

" Oh. Aren't you the one along with that girl who visited Virsher a week ago? " He asked curiously.

" Y—Yes, why? And how do you know? " Vikram knitted his brows in confusion.

" Ah—Me? The whole village knows that Rishi and Mahi are back. I belong from there. " The guy smiled.

" Oh " Vikram said. " You're staying in the palace? "

" Currently yeah. " Vikram said.

" Soha, I'm joining soon. " The guy with brunette hair smiled.

" Congratulations. " Vikram shook his hand with Soha.

" Well, can i have a word with you? " Soha asked.

" Sure. "

" I know a stall nearby which offers the best tea in this locality. Mind coming there? " Soha walked.

" Never mind. " Vikram followed him.

" Mahi wasn't just stabbed, she was played with. A brutal death. "
