" Vikram, she is burning in fever. " Ari said panic lacing her voice.

" Shit! W–What can we do? " Vikram rubbed his forehead with this index finger.

" Water strips? " Soha suggested.

" That won't work. " Ari said.

" Only bringing her in reality will help her. " Ari said.

" How? " Vikram asked checking her temperature.

" You have to do something, the temperature she is burning is inhumane. We might lose her. " Ari said.

" Fine. "

Maya

" Mahi? " I could hear the familiar voice of Rishi in the flames.

" Ri–Rishi save me! I don't wanna die! " I cried.

" No one is dying. You'll be sleeping for a long, and waking up in a new identity. Okay? " Rishi convinced.

" B–But you? " I cried back.

" Of course, no one will take the responsibility of you. I will have to be there. " He chuckled.

" Pakka? " I asked.

" Pakka " He smiled.

I could myself relaxed, it doesn't burn like before.

" Maya? " I can hear a faint voice, maybe Vikram? Yes.

I blinked my eyes, adjusting to the light around me.

" How much time have I slept? " I asked.

" More than a week. " Soha said.

" More than a week? " I jolted up.

" Shh. It is okay. " Ari handed me glass of water as I gulped it down.

Author's POV

" You okay now? " Vikram asked, she looked at at him blankly and pulled him in a hug.

Vikram caressed her hair, " What happened? "

She shook her head no words leaving her throat.

Soha cleared his throat, " Come down with her later. "

Both Ari and Soha walked out and Vikram sat down beside her.

" Vikram, you saw what that Sameer did? " Maya asked holding his big hands in her tiny ones.

" I know. " Vikram breathed out.

" D-Do you know? Mahi was pregnant when she died. " Maya said.

" What? " Vikram looked at her, shocked.

She nodded, " I want to kill him. " Maya growled, this time it wasn't Maya anymore but Mahi.

" M—Mahi? " Vikram looked at her startled.

Mahi had given up on her patience now, it was enough for her to remember how heartlessly she, her love and their child was killed.

" Sameer! " door of Sameer's room was flung open with a loud thud.

Maya marched in, " Manners Maya, I'm king here " Sameer gritted his teeth.

" King? Manners? My foot! You are a bloody murder who killed four lives. Just.for.the.sake.of.power. " Maya shot back.

" What are you speaking about Maya? " Sameer asked, taken aback due to sudden attack of his secrets.

" Mahi. " Maya corrected as her eyes turn red and her lips curved in a sly smile.

" You're dead. I'm hallucinating. " Sameer chanted and shook his head.

" You wish I was. I won't be leaving you until I kill you. "
