Chapter-11

Aurin's pov

" Danyal!!"I literally screamed with excitement and he walked towards me having a wide smile.

Rubbing his jaw slightly he questioned looking like a scholar," Is this Aurin? I am not being able to recognise her. How the hell did she become so beautiful?"

Saying that he burst into laughter and I slapped his hand playfully. He will never change!

" I was born beautiful. Dumbo!" I snickered and he pulled my hair slightly just like he used to do in our childhood.

Then, I started asking him," Why didn't you inform us that you were coming? What about your studies? Did you finish or you retuned for vacation? Did you inform Khala(aunt from mother's side) that................."

" Did you join CBI? Let me breathe first at least. Come on, Dude. I have returned after years," He whined and I stopped questioning him.

Well, Danyal is my Khala's son and the same age as mine. After my uncle's death, my aunt lived with us for two years due to financial crisis and that's when we got very close to each other. We were in 8th standard when he became my best friend.

When my aunt managed to bear her own expenses, she started living separately. Though Danyal and I used to talk to each other through phone and chat but after his leaving for the USA for study purposes, we got distant from each other. He became busy with studies and I got married. But, I am really happy to see him after years

Walking towards the couch he sat on it comfortably and said laughing," Yeah, I am here to irritate Aurin......I mean on a vacation. I will be returning after 3 months."

" Mikaeel bhai won't let you irritate Aurin api," Aleena said and he diverted his gaze towards me.

I lowered my head and immediately my face was clouded with sadness after hearing Mikaeel's name. I heard Danyal's voice but didn't respond. Excusing myself I returned to my room. Sitting on an easy chair I looked outside through the window and automatically my mind got occupied by Mikaeel.

" You got married now what will happen to me?" I heard Danyal's sarcastic voice from behind.

I answered rolling my eyes," Like you were waiting to marry me!"

" Seriously, Aurin. I would have married you if that Mikaeel didn't poke between us," he said sounding very serious and I looked at him with astonishment like he has hit his head somewhere.

After looking at my eyes for a few seconds he burst into laughter and said," I was joking!

" I knew it," I whispered shaking my head in annoyance.

Suddenly, he asked curiously," By the way where is your husband? Didn't he come with you?"

" We had an argument and I have left his home. Till now I have explained this thing to every fucking person who came to meet me. So, don't ask me anything further. I am tired of explaining, "I shouted getting pissed off and noticed him blinking his eyes repeatedly.

I instantly felt guilty for shouting at him like that. He has returned after years and I should talk to him nicely. But, no here I am. Shouting at my guest! Oh, Allah!!

" I am sor..............." I couldn't even utter sorry when he started laughing and I frowned my brows. Did I say something funny?

He answered excitedly," That's good for us. We will be having a lot of fun together. I thought I have to spend my time in Pakistan just digesting my mother's rent of getting married but you have given me such a nice surprise."

" Huh!!" I whispered and he said dragging me towards the door," What huh!! Let that husband of yours understand your worth. How can he argue with such a beautiful wife!"
