Aurin's pov

" Yes, Ammi. I am fine now," I told my mom over the phone and sighed.

Ammi asked worriedly," Is Mikaeel treating you well? Everything is sorted out, right?"

Hearing her question I looked at my husband who was getting ready for office. He was wearing his Armani suit and looking handsome as usual. I won't lie that I am not attracted to him. His outer self is attractive but I am still confused about his inner self.

My eyes fell on the tulips which he brought last night and I licked my dry lips nervously. My heart warmed up thinking about last night and I smiled a little.

" Yes, everything is sorted out," I answered still looking at my husband.

I heard Ammi taking relaxed breathing and said," You don't know how much worried I was about you. I couldn't even sleep remembering what you said. Anyway, after talking to you now I am feeling a little bit relieved."

" How is Baba? Doesn't he want to talk to his daughter? Doesn't he want to know how am I?" I questioned clutching the hem of my dress.

My mom started hesitating and I understood that my father has already forgotten me. Tears started clouding my vision but I controlled myself.

" Seems like Baba is still angry with me," I said meekly and in return, I got Ammi's silence indicating that I wasn't wrong.

After a few moments, Ammi said trying to divert this topic," Why don't you and Mikaeel vis......................"

Before she could finish her saying my phone got switched off. I tried to switch it on almost 4 times but every time it went in vain. I have to buy a new phone as soon as possible.

" What's wrong?" I heard my husband asking me.

I answered still trying to switch on the phone," My phone's battery died. Actually, it has some problems and I..................

" Oh! That's it. I thought something serious has happened. You just wasted my time," He said and I looked at him in confusion.

I asked with creased brows," I wasted your time! When?"

He didn't answer me and left the room. How rude! He could have heard what I was saying or could have tried to help me but no! He had to leave showing me his attitude!

I don't know what's his problem. Whenever I think that our relationship is improving, he will jump to ruin it. I have named him correctly. A robot.

After few hours

I returned to my room after taking a long shower and walked towards the dressing table. I started drying my hair when I noticed a gift box on the dressing table.

Placing the towel over my shoulder I picked up the box and wondered who left it here. I found a piece of paper where it was written 'I don't know your favourite colour. So, I bought it according to my taste'.

I couldn't hold back my curiosity anymore and opened the box hurriedly. After opening the box my eyes widened with pure shock and an amusing expression appeared on my face.

" An iPhone!!" I mumbled tracing my fingers over this black colour phone.

I was still in my shocked state wondering what just happened when I received a message.

Your new phone. I know that you have liked the gift because till now nobody has disliked my gift.

I couldn't stop myself from smiling. That means he noticed my phone and understood that I badly needed a phone. I wonder what would have happened if he showed this concern in front of me by telling me some sweet words. This surprise wasn't bad though but some words from him would have left a better impact on me.
