Author's pov

"Ammi, I want a divorce from that man. I can't live with an emotionless log. I don't want to cry for the rest of my life. Please, arrange a divorce paper for me," Aurin requested her mother with teary eyes. Aurin's mother became dumbfounded for a few moments.

Gathering her shocked state, she asked worriedly," What are you saying, Aurin? What happened?"

" I can't adjust with him. There is no love, no affection, no emotions. Nothing. There is nothing between us," Aurin said angrily where tears were soaking her rosy cheeks.

Aurin's mother said trying to convince her," Dear, it's just two days and you already decided that you won't live with Mikaeel!! It takes time to understand each other and fall in love. It takes time to grow emotions for each other. Give some time to this relationship and everything will be ok. Be patient for some days and try harder."

" It's only me who is trying harder, Ammi. There is no response or reaction from him. That man doesn't even talk to me than how we will grow emotions for each other? I can't wait for him to change and suffocate to death due to depression. Please, save me," Aurin told her mother and literally begged to take her away from Mikaeel.

Aurin's mother tried her best to convince Aurin but she was firm on her decision. She is sure that she won't live with Mikaeel. She can't let him insult her every time.

Aurin was continuously crying when her mother said wiping away her tears," Ok. Don't cry, dear. I will talk to your father. Let's see what he decides. Without his permission, I can't say anything right now."

After that, Aurin's mother called her father and told him everything. Aurin expected her father to say something or show some kind of reaction but he was just silently hearing everything.

After telling everything, Aurin's mother suggested to her father," We shouldn't take this matter lightly. Shouldn't we talk to Jamshed bhai(Mikaeel's father) about Mikaeel's behaviour with Aurin?"

Aurin's father was still silent like he was thinking something deeply. He looked at his wife and found her tensed eyes.

" Abbu, please. Take me to our house. I can't live here," Aurin requested her father who was looking at her with a blank expression on his face.

Aurin's face swivelled in another direction, her right cheek turned red and she felt a bee sting like sensation. Her mouth got wide open and she touched the area where his hand connected. Tears stopped flowing from her eyes, and she looked at her father with disbelief. It's the first time her father raised his hand on her.

" Jalal!!" Aurin's mother yelled pulling Aurin into her embrace.

Aurin was still looking at her father with disbelief when he said angrily," Didn't you feel ashamed before telling that you want a divorce? It's just two days of your Nikah (wedding) and you have already started saying all this shit!!"

" At least listen to her properly. She is..........." Aurin's mother couldn't complete her sentence due to Aurin's interruption.

Aurin whispered to her mother," Ammi, don't say anything. Let Abbu talk."

Aurin's father started saying to Aurin with too much anger," How dare you! Do you have any idea what will our relatives say if they come to know about all these? They will start questioning my upbringing and your character. That's what you want, right? Do you want to taint my name?"

" No," Aurin refused nodding her head when tears automatically rolled down her eyes.

This time, Aurin's father said worriedly," I have 3 more daughters to marry off and I don't want you to spoil their future. I don't want to hear that Jalal Sheikh couldn't raise his daughters properly."
