Jake opened his eyes suddenly, meeting the lid of his link. Realizing that he had woken up, without a second thought he lifted the lid abruptly. His pulse quickened in his chest, he could hear it in his ears as he reached for his cart. I need to talk to Grace, that was his only thought as he got into the wheelchair and quickly turned the wheels to the other cab of the station.
-"Grace?" the Marine called, seeing the scientist in her usual place in her small laboratory, where she was conducting her experiments. Norm was there too, next to her, helping her.
-"Oh, Jake, you came back so early. You should have called me when you woke up..."
-"I need to talk to you urgently." Jake interrupted, standing in front of her. Grace raised an eyebrow in confusion.
-"Okay, what's going on?" she asked.
-"Do you know the Anurai clan?" the scientist pondered at his question.
-"I've only met one of them, but I haven't been in their clan, nor do I know their leaders." Augustine replied. -"I know Selfridge sent his people there to contact the Anurai clan, but it didn't continue long after the school incident. He said they closed their doors to us after word got out."
Jake's eyes widened at her words. She really didn't know anything about them. There was no indication in her eyes or voice that she was lying, but apparently Parker had lied to her. Suddenly adrenaline and anger flooded his body.
-"And how would you react if I told you that Selfridge lied to you?" Grace and Norm looked at the Marine with confusion and slight anxiety. -"He had sent RDA soldiers to destroy their land."
-"What?" the scientist asked in disbelief.
-"He had a person who interacted with the clan and secretly stole from them and kidnapped na'vi to experiment with them and sell them on the black market." Sully explained. -"His name is Sean Wallen, he is supposed to still be part of the RDA."
-"I don't know a man with that name." Grace murmured with a hand on her chin as she looked thoughtfully at Norm, who was still processing the conversation, then looked back at the Marine. -"Where is the clan now?"
-"In the territory of Tipani, under the protection of Sänume." Jake replied, looking intensely into the scientist's brown eyes, expecting some action from her.
-"What do they think of us?" Norm asked, wanting to somehow join in the conversation.
-"They hate us to the core. One of them lost her braid to RDA soldiers." the anthropologist's jaw fell on Jake's words.
-"Fuck." Grace muttered through her teeth. -"This son of a bitch lied to me and hid it from me." she turned, walking to the table where the monitors were.
-"I'm going to contact Trudy over a coded connection, so they don't intercept our conversation, and ask her about Sean Wallen in question. She works with the idiots with guns, she should know him."
Augustine lit a cigarette to calm her raging nerves and rage. She sincerely wanted to rip off Parker's head and nail it to a spear.
-"Is this still going on?" Norm asked. -"That's what I want to know." Grace replied as she texted Trudy. -"Jake, record your video blog today." she said, keeping her eyes on the monitor.
-"And what can I say? Selfridge may still be looking for them." said the Marine, heading to the camera.
-"Just share everything but the information about what happened to their clan. If you don't make the record, they will become suspicious of us and we may lose all our progress with the people." she explained. -"Sent, now we're just waiting for an answer from her."
