17. Palulukan Makto saves the day

-"Turn over!" Jake exclaimed, pulling Vëipa's antennae, but she didn't budge from her direction. Your ikran felt sympathy for Sully and she didn't want to leave you, but she knew it was better to listen to you.

-"We're getting close!" Rai'uk shouted, riding his pa'li that they freed from the cages as he led the rest of the na'vi.

-"I hope everyone is well." Kyuna said sitting behind Rai'uk on his pa'li.

They all entered the forest and quickly arrived at the others. The first to come to meet them were Beyda'amo, Tsu'tey, Avarin, Tan Jala... and Neytiri. Vëipa landed right in front of them, allowing Sully to get off her. Rai'uk and Kyuna also arrived and dismounted.

-"I'm glad you are well..." Tan Jala started but was interrupted by Neytiri.

-"Where is (Y/n)?" she asked in a firm tone as her eyes went over each of them.

-"She is not with you." Tsu'tey said

The Avatar dismounted from Vëipa, gritting his teeth from the discomfort of his wounds as well as the anger that boiled within him.

-"Where is she?" Neytiri asked again getting annoyed that no one was telling her your location.

-"We left her." Jake replied with displeasure, bringing a shocked look to your little sister's face.

-"What!?" Tsu'tey exclaimed angrily.

-"You left her!?" Neytiri asked in disgust, drawing her bow and pointing the end of it at the marine. -"I trusted you!"

-"It was not him!" Rai'uk exclaimed, stepping between your sister and Jake. -"If you are mad at anyone, be mad at me, I agreed with (Y/n) to let her go, JakeSully was the most stubborn, not wanting to go." he explained to the young na'vi woman.

-"Why did (Y/n) want you to left her?" Tsu'tey asked, getting too close to the warrior's face.

-"She wants to catch Sean Wallen and free a palulukan. Jake was trying to convince her to stay, but she made Vëipa take him on her back." Rai'uk explained. Neytiri angrily swung her bow in the air and began pacing back and forth, trying to calm her nerves.

-"We have to send someone." Jake exclaimed, drawing the attention of the others. -"We're already here, we can send a team to help (Y/n)."

-"It is not that easy JakeSully, she sent us because she did not want to put us in danger, sending people to her just means not taking her cares seriously." replied the warrior turning to the avatar. -"Let's trust (Y/n), she knows what she is doing and she will handle it."

-"Rai'uk is right, let's take care of the others for now." Tan Jala called before looking at Vëipa. -"But I think it is good for you to go to your rider."

Your ikran squealed in agreement and immediately flew in your direction. Jake was still groggy and angry and just walked past everyone, wanting to find solitude. It wasn't just him, Tsu'tey and Neytiri needed it too.

Your moment with the female palulukan didn't last long as you heard a whimper and immediately she turned to the drugged thanator. Her mate, you thought. She walked over to him, he was clearly recovering from the sedation and rubbed her muzzle against him making a small purr. You slowly approached her and reached for the narcotic darts. She was looking at you with her periphery but allowed you to touch her mate. You took them out and threw them on the ground. The other beast's eyes snapped open and he let out a guttural growl in confusion.

-"He will be well." you said as she nudged her mate to turn onto his stomach, he groggy managed with your and the female palulukan's help. -"But now we have to take care of your child to get him back."
