Forbidden Love

Chapter 1

“Really?You would choose Liam over Harry? I can’t believe you,” Paige laughs.

“Yeah. I mean..... I don’t really have anything to back up my choice because let’s face it Harry is hot as fuck, but yup I choose Liam,” Jade says with a smile. 

“Ugh you are so annoying. What about you Maxie? Liam or Harry?” Paige asks.

“Um... I um,” I stutter.

“Maxie? Earth to Maxine? hello you still in there,” Jade says laughing along with Paige.

“Oh, um sorry, I guess Zayn,” I say.

“Aw come on,” they groan in disappointment.

“What were you sating at anyways?” Jade asks.

“Um... I was um-,” I stutter.

“Hey guys. How come Ashley isn’t sitting with us? Oh yeah she had that thing to deal with, never mind,” Taylor say walking up to us with a tray in his hands “what’s up?”

“Well we were playing a game but Maxine over here was staring at something..... or was it someone?” Jade fills Taylor in wiggling her eyebrows.

“Oh, do tell,” he says.

“I wasn’t staring at anything,” I say.

“Then it had to be someone,” Paige says “come on you can’t leave us hanging we are you best friends you are supposed to tell us everything,” she pouts.

“It was...um... she..... um... I wasn’t staring at anyone or thing,” I say. 

“But you did say ‘she’,” Taylor says smirking.

“Ugh you guys are so annoying,” I say getting up.

“That’s what I was saying,” Paige says getting up and following me. The bell rings and I walk to my locker with Taylor, Paige and Jade.

“Bye bitches. I have to go sit through the most boring class with he most boring teacher,” Taylor says “oh, how I do love history. Wish me luck,” he says blowing us a kiss before attempting to ‘strut his stuff’ which no lie he does have. I mean that dude has the nicest butt I’ve ever seen.

“Bye Tay,” we scream after him laughing. He just puts his hand up in the air and walks down the hall. He is one of the only boys in the whole school that has fiends that are girls. Maybe it’s because he’s gay but I don’t care. He can be pretty mean when you first meet him but once you get to know him he is one of the most lovable people I know.

“So are you gonna tell us who you were staring at at lunch?’ Jade asks.

“Nope,” I say shutting my locker and walking to my next class. My last few classes go by quickly. I walk out the double doors that lead to the parking lot and just stand there like an idiot staring. Again. 

“Ashley huh?” Taylor’s voice startles me and I jump n”sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.”

“What?” I ask.

“Ashley,” he says “that’s who you were staring at at lunch. It’s funny I always thought you would be a Lola type of girl,” he laughs looking over at Lola who was standing at the other end of the parking lot. She was pretty but really tall. She has curly brown hair and dark brown eyes. Whereas Ashley has dirty-blond hair blue eyes and these amazing dimples.

“Dude,” Tay waves his hand in my face.

“Oh sorry,” I say.

“She doesn’t even know you like her and she already has you drooling over her,” Tay laughs. 

“What? No. It’s not her I mean I don’t like her... how did you know?” I finally say.

“Come on. Let’s go before the others come looking for us,” he says grabbing my hand and pulling me to Ashley. “Hey Ashley.”

“Hey Taylor,” she says looking at us. I swear to go my knees almost buckled. “Hey Maxine, sorry I couldn’t make it to lunch today,” she says “are you ok?” 

“Yeah she needs some water,” he says and I hit him on his arm.

“I can see that,” Ashley says laughing. 

“She just saw her crush,” he says. “Hey, you are still coming to the beach tomorrow,” Tay says.

“Yeah of course why wouldn’t I?” she says.

“Ok same as always babe. Love you,” he says kissing her on the cheek  and walking away. But he has to come back to move me from my spot. “She says bye,” Taylor says. Ashley laughs and waves. Taylor practically has to throw me into his car when we reach it. We drive to his house and I gain enough power to run into his room and face plant onto his bed.

“What’s wrong Maxie?” he asks sitting down on the bed next to me.

“Ugh,” I groan into the pillow.

“Come on tell me,” she says putting a hand on my back.

“It’s just that I’m.....I’m.....I,” I stutter “I’m not gay or at least I don’t think I am.”

“Aw honey it’s ok you don’t have to be gay to have feelings for someone of the same gender,” he says “although I have to pat myself on the back because my gaydar was on point,” I laugh sitting up “it’s ok if you’re not gay. You can still like a girl. You don’t have to figure it all out right now. Why don’t we just call Paige and Jade over to watch some chick-flicks and eat ice cream? Maybe you will feel different about her tomorrow. It is just a crush after all,” he says. and he was right It was just a crush. A really big crush.
