Chapter 7

"Close your eyes," I whisper closing mine and leaning in a little more so our faces are inched apart. Ash meets me half way smashing her lips into mine. She moves her hand to my thigh and my eyes shoot open but I continue to kiss her. She brings her other hand to my hair and licks my bottom lip. What the fuck is she doing? I hesitate but open my mouth allowing her full accesses. After a while I pull away. Ash's eyes are still closed.

"Good?" She asks.

"Good." I reply.

"Um I should get going," I say getting up.

"What? No! You'er just gonna kiss me and then get too freaked out to even look at me? Nope you're staying," Ash says pulling me back onto the bed.

"B-but-" I stutter.

"No buts Max," she says.

"Ok."

"Movie?"

"Sure," I say sitting back down on the bed. Ash puts in a movie and walks back to the bed. Halfway through the move Ash speaks.

"Was it good?" She asks looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I ask meeting her gaze.

"The kiss," she says inching closer. Was she serious?

"Y-yeah. It was ok."

"Just ok?"

"I don't know. It was good I guess."

"If it was just good and ok maybe we should try again," she says moving to sit on my lap. I get up and stand by the edge of the bed.

"W-what are you doing?" I ask.

"I want to kiss you," she says grabbing my hand.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because... I want to," she says pulling closer to her.

"But you don't like me like that."

"You don't know that."

"Why did you run away then?"

"Because you told me too."

"Why do you have to be such a smart ass? And why do you have to be so cute when you are a smart ass?" I ask putting one knee on the bed.

"I don't know. Why are you so cute when you are nervous?" She asks pulling onto the bed.

"Just one?" I ask.

"Not unless you want more than one," she smirks.

"We'll see," I say moving my face closer to hers. I don't know but this feels wrong to me. I need to stop this. But I can't. Where are her parents? Where is her sister? Fuck.

"Ashley what are you doing?" Her sister says from the doorway. Thank The Lord!

"Sabrina! Get out!" She yells.

"No, it's ok I was just leaving," I say getting up from the bed straightening my cloths and walking past her sister.

"Hey, Sabrina," I say and walk down the stairs.

"Wait! Max!" Ash yells.

"I'll see you tomorrow Ash," I say walking out of the door. When I left I started to run. I ran all the way to Tay's house. "Tay! Open the door! Tay!" I yell.

"God Maxie calm down. What is it?" He says opening the door with Paige and Jade by his side. I walked into the house and up the stairs. "Maxie what is it?"

"Maxine slow down!" Jade says.

"What is it what's wrong?" Paige says following me up the steps.

"She kissed me!" I yell.

"She what?" Paige and Jade say at the same time. "Who?"

"Ashely!"

"Holy shit!"

"Are you serious?!"

"Oh my god!" Paige and Jade start to yell and jump up and down.

"You are joking right?" Jade yells.

"No," I say.

"Oh. My. God."

"I'm some happy right now!" I sit down on one of Tay's beanbag chairs.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" they chant.

"What are you gonna do now?" They ask.

"I don't know," I shake my head.

"Tay, why are you so quite?" They ask.

"I didn't think she would actually do it," he says.

"What?" I say.

"What do you mean?" Jade asks.

"What did you do Tay?" Paige asks.

"It was just a joke I didn't think she would actually do it. Fuck. I'm so sorry Max," Tay looks at me with so mush sadness and concern in his eyes.

"W-what do you mean?"

"We were talking on Tuesday and then she brought up the incident that happened. She asked me about you and we started talking. Then I made a joke..."

"What was the joke Tay?" Jade asks.

"All I said was 'that it would be funny if you actually kissed'. And then she was like 'yeah' and that was it I'm really sorry Maxine. I am," Tay says. I had to go. I needed to get away. I got up and walk out of his house. Jade was walking behind me.

"Please I just want to be alone right now Jade."

"Ok," she says "I'm sorry." I opened his front door and walked out. Where was I gonna go? What was I gonna do? I had no one right now it was just me. I can't go home 'cause I done want to see my parents. I can't go to Ash. I can't got to Tay or Jade or Paige. The only person I had was me. Could she have actually done it just because Tay jokes about it? Did she mean it? It felt like it. I put my fingers up to my lips. How could she do that to me? She kissed me. She cloud have kissed anyone else but he kissed me. But she didn't mean it. She only did it because Tay says se should. That's what I kept telling myself. She didn't mean it. It was a joke. She would never be with me. How could she be with someone like me. A girl. She would never be with me. I looked around and had now idea where I was. Fuck. Now I'm lost great.
