He left and I stood there, staring after him like a complete idiot.

"What are you doing?" Alexa asks, jabbing me in the side.

"No....nothing."

"Well that means you're lying. But you know what?"

"You don't care."

"Man! You are so telepathic."

After that, I zone her out.  I keep trying to understand this mystery guy.  He piqued my curiosity.  I just felt the need to know more about him.  I tried to notice all the little things he did to see if they gave me something to work with. Zilch. Nada. Nothing.  He was as secret as a monk vowed to silence.  Alexa had stopped trying to talk to me and went over to some guys that looked quite interested in her.

"I'm going into the pool," I say into her ear, hoping she won't follow me.

My hoping was unsuccessful.  Her and her posse followed me into the pool.  The guys had made a not so quiet entrance and rippled the water.  So much for a relaxing swim.  Not that I had planned for it to be relaxing.  I had planned on getting to know this mystery guy better.

"Sorry," I say to the person I get knocked into by the waves.

"Can't stay away from me, can you?" he says.

"Oh my gosh.  I'm so sorry.  I didn't mean too.  My friend's followers are obnoxious and made all this racket and then I just... Ugh. You know what happened."

"Worked up I see.  How 'bout you and I go for a walk?"

"I really can't.  I'm supposed to be here with my friend."

He looks over to Alexa and then back at me.

"Looks like she has different plans."

I looked over and saw her completely lost in the crowd of guys.

Ay yi yi, I thought.

"I'll be right back Alexa.  Going for a short walk."

I heard no reply and decided that I had to do this alone. Should I come with an excuse or should I actually go with him?

At that moment, my phone had started to ring.  I took this as a blessing and quickly got out of the pool to answer it.

"Yes?" I answered.

"We did it," my sister said.

"Thanks.  I totally wanted that image burned into my brain."

"Whatever.  Drop the attitude sis."

"What's wrong with you?" I said, hoping my voice portrayed hurt.

"Nothing. You know what never mind." she said and hung up.

*end of flashback*

That's when I should have started to notice that something was wrong.  You know what, I bet it was all Josh's fault.  This wouldn't have happened if he knew how to have kept his wahoo in his pants. It's all his fault and I never realized it until now.  I hate him.

I walk over to Josh's house and knock on the door.

"Yes?" he says, answering the door.

"It's. All. Your. Fault." I say, annunciating every word.

"What the hell are you talking about? I loved your sister."

"You did, did you?"

"Yes.  I was going to propose to her.  And then this happened. . ." he says, tears falling from his eyes.

I felt sorry for him and bad at the same time.

"I'm so sorry."

"Well, sorry doesn't change anything.  Apology not accepted.  How could you blame for what your sister? I loved her.  I have cried every night; I miss her so much.  You don't understand and you never will." he says, slamming the door in my shocked face.
