Journey's Through Starfire - Book 1

New Guardians and troubles

Zara wakes up the next day in a cabin.

"Where am I?" Said Zara

Then Alec and a guy who was about 6ft and had golden hair; whom I assumed was Arrow, walked in.

"Zara! You're awake, thank Asarae." Alec says.

"Hey guys..so um how did I get here?!"

"Alright, alright, calm down, I used my powers to get you here after you got knocked out by a Blackguard. I was right behind him though. That's why you're here and not with them." Arrow said

"Oh...."

"Now anyways, you're free to pretty much do whatever other than going outside and leaving. We don't want to be caught."

"Alright.."

Zara stands up and walks over to her bag and grabs out a sketchbook and pencil and goes to the couch in her room and sketches.

~Backstory on Arrow~ Arrow is a guardian but lost most of his powers as a child, so he is mostly human~

A while later there was a knock at her door; it was Alec.

"Hey." Alec said

"Hey, do you need something?" Zara says back

"I just wanted to make sure you're okay." Alec says.

"Well, I am."

"Haha yeah I can tell." Alec laughs, "Anyways I'll let you go back to what you were doing." Alec walks out of the room.

~Later that day~

"It's pretty late, you should head to bed." Arrow says to Zara.

"I know...but what about you? Aren't you going to sleep?"

"After I make sure everything is okay then I will."

"You shouldn't have to work so hard you know, you barely know me and I barely know you but I know that people should get a lot of rest."

"Fine, fine I will just check the doors and make sure they are locked."

"Thank you." Zara yawns and then she lies down and falls asleep.

Arrow goes downstairs and locks the doors and then walks up to the rooms and checks on everyone then heads to bed.

~Sometime around 3am~

Zara wakes up and looks down at her clock; it just barely turned 3am. Zara lies back down but she can't fall asleep so she gets up and walks downstairs and she sees Arrow talking on a phone, so she hides around a corner and listens.

"We can't hide here forever, we have to find somewhere else." Arrow said.

"I know that! But we can't risk being caught...especially Zara being found, that would make the Blackguard even more powerful than they are if they get her and you know that." The voice from the phone says.

"Why is she so important?! She is just a regular Guardian!" Arrow said.

"You know nothing do you!? Zara's real father is the General of the Starfire Army, he just doesn't care about her and her mother never got a chance to tell him that she was a Guardian before he started to hunt Guardians down, and she is our only hope to stop this!"

"How did that guy know..?" Zara thinks to herself curiously.

"So what, if we turn her in then we can be free!" Arrow says, "If you don't turn her in soon, I will." Arrow says as he hangs up the phone and walks back to his room.

Zara hears Arrow's door close and then she stands up and sneaks up to her room and closes the door and starts writing a note...she finishes shortly after and then she lies the note on her bed and opens the window, shoots a lighting bolt about 80000 miles away with her disappearing and the window closing behind her.
