Journey's Through Starfire - Book 1

First Calling.

Zara and Draiten both woke up, they had been up basically all night. Zara had just gotten out of bed when she got a call from her father.

'Time to go'

'Alright...'

And she hangs up. Draiten hugs Zara tightly and says, "If he kills you, I swear on my life I will destroy him and his army."

"I know you would, so would the others. That's why if I come to one of you guys tonight in your dreams, you have to go."

"I won't ever leave you to that jerk."

"Draiten. Please, if I see you or anyone hurt I don't know what I would do. But I'm at least glad that I am able to be here when I'm not needed there."

"Okay..okay."

Zara puts her shoes on and then jumps out the window and bolts off to the Blackguard base, while Draiten goes downstairs to the others. Zara arrives about two minutes later at the base.

"Go on in, General Force is waiting for you inside the meeting room." A soldier says to Zara, "And, good luck."

"Thank you." Then Zara walks into the meeting room where she sees Tyler and two other people both are men, one is her age though and the other about her father's age.

"Zara, you're here. Come." Tyler says. "This is your future husband, Zoran. Zoran meet Zara."

Tyler takes a hold of Zara's hand and places it on Zoren's hand.

"Now you two go and learn about one another once you both are done, Zara you may go back to whatever you were doing."

"Yes sir.." Zara says.

"Oh and Zara." Tyler says.

"Yes sir?"

"Call me Father. Besides that's what I am."

"Alright...Father." Zara says and then Zoren and Zara walk out of the room.

Once Zara and Zoren leave the room Tyler stares at the door for a few moments until his assistant says to him, "You know, she is very powerful..I could tell when she walked into the building."

"I know she is. She got it from a very powerful curse."

"What curse does she have?"

"Her curse is the Startrail curse; the most powerful one there is."

"Incredible. No wonder she is like that, now another topic, how is she so irresistible!?"

"Well if you remember the Startrail curse also curses them with irresistible beauty, that is thanks to the goddess; Asaria. She made the curse and Zara is the only one alive with that curse. It is extremely rare."

"Ah yes I forgot, but anyways. My son is more than willing to marry her, is she just as willing?"

"Not entirely but, no worries, all of the Guardians' lives depend on her and her choices."

"Excellent."

~Meanwhile with Zara and Zoren~

"So, how do you feel about all of this?" Zoren asks Zara politely

"Honestly, I kind of hate it..I am being forced to date you, no offense by the way, and I have listened to my father to save my friends! I feel like I'm just locked in a cage to be honest."

"You'll get used to it, trust me I've been through a lot and having to date you is the only easy task I've ever had to do."

"That's horrible..doesn't your father care about your feelings?"
