hope you enjoy :)) sorry it's been ages

School was relatively normal after our encounter with Andy, he would occasionally sit with us at lunch but nothing major... until Halloween came around.

I had adjusted to the school pretty well and knew almost everyone in the class, I hadn't spoken to Olivia however, not since I spilt my lunch all over her. There had been times I thought she had forgiven me and maybe wanted to start a fresh but she would then shoot me an icy glare across the room and all my hopes of us eventually becoming friends would be crushed.

It was the week leading up to Halloween and the school was already getting excited. Andy sauntered over to the table with a glint in his eye, a smirk slapped on his face and a mischievous presence about him. Pete's hands would always get tighter when Andy came over. I always noticed his brow furrowing and his body language seeming more closed off than he usually was when it was just me and Mike.

"Hey guys," Andy said confidently, casually sitting next to Mike at our table. "Halloweens coming up." We all nodded as Andy looked at our faces one by one, craving any sort of reaction.

"Well," he began "I've been thinking of having a party, as my parents are out of town that weekend. It would be perfect!" Andy grinned again from ear to ear, begging us to replicate. Mike reflected the enthusiasm, but Pete and I still seemed sceptical.

Before Pete or I could get a word in, Mike spoke for us.

"We will be there!" He said still smiling. Andy beamed, got up and left as quickly as he had arrived.

"A Halloween party?" Pete said, raising his eyebrow at Mike who didn't seem to understand Pete's concern.

"What?" He questioned looking at both of us in turn.

"Don't you remember what happened last time we decided to hang out with Andy?" Pete pointed out as Mike's face became unreadable.

"Well..... it won't be like that this time." Mike said confidently as he packed up his lunch things and quickly started to head to the bin. Pete and I followed close after, still protesting.

"But something bad will happen, I can feel it." I said glancing at Pete who also looked concerned.

"I'm going." Mike suddenly blurted out, turning round to face us "And you guys can come if you want but I really don't mind cause I won't be included anyway." After his little speech he marched off leaving Pete and I standing rather awkwardly watching after him.

"What does he mean," I began

"We don't leave him out," Pete continued.

We both looked at each other until I broke the silence between us and finally spoke again.

"I think we should go to the party.."

Pete looked at me, considering my comment, but eventually agreed.

"Yeah, but only to make sure Mike is okay."

I nodded, but truly I did want to go to the party. It could be fun... but there was a dark feeling at the pit of my stomach that this wouldn't end well.

"You okay?" Pete said breaking my train of thought. We were standing in the lunch hall next to the bin. A group of people waiting closely behind us the sound of their shoes tapping the floor audible.

"yeah sorry," i said quickly emptying my excess food into the bin and turning away.

"You don't have to apologise," Pete said gently before i felt his warm hand slip into mine and lead me out the hall.
