*The Wedding Day | 11/13/23*
The day has finally come. The day that I get married to the man of my dreams, Eric Nam. I can't believe how far we've come. I started out as just a fan of Eric. I've been listening to his music since 2019. I never knew that 4 years later, I would be marrying him. I chose my female cousin and my best friends to be my bridesmaids. The wedding theme color is blue, my favorite color. At this time, Theo is now 6 months old. He's grown quite a lot since he was first born. Our wedding day will also be the first time that my parents and Eric's parents will be meeting. That should be interesting. The wedding dress that I chose looks like this:I think this dress is absolutely stunning. I'm glad to be wearing it to be marrying Eric today. My dad will be giving me away to Eric for my wedding. My dad is only meeting Eric today, I haven't been able to go home since getting together with Eric. I haven't been able to introduce Eric to my parents, so today will be the day they meet him and his family. I think my mom will love Eric as a son-in-law. She said that he's really handsome, and that we're perfect together. I'm glad my mom supports our relationship and is giving the blessing for us to get married.
I make my walk down the aisle to meet Eric. I stand in front of Eric, holding both his hands. The wedding ceremony begins with an opening prayer, then we'll say our vows.
"Eric, I promise to always love to. I promise to never leave your side. I promise to bring you breakfast in bed, and sing my heart out the next time you release an album. I promise to be the best mother to our dearest son, Theo. After all we've been through together, I promise that I'll always love you." I said.
"Raeshel. You are the love of my life. I never would have thought we'd be here after all we've been through together. I can't wait to build this life with you. I promise to love you, and only you, with all my heart. I promise to dedicate my next album to you. That the next love song I write will be for you. I promise to be the best husband and father. I promise that I will never leave your side. Til death do us part." Eric said.
"Okay, Raeshel. Do you take Eric Nam as your husband? For sickness and in health, til death do you part?" The pastor asked.
"I do." I said.
"Eric, do you take Raeshel to be your wife? For sickness and health, til death do you part?" The pastor asked.
"I do." Eric said.
"Now, with the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Eric, you may kiss your bride." The pastor said.
"I've waited all day for this." Eric said. Then, he lays the most romantic kiss upon my lips. Now, Eric and I are officially married. I'm officially Raeshel Nam. That's gonna take some getting used to.*The Reception Party*
Our reception party is taking place at The Castaway Restaurant in San Bernardino. Funnily enough, this is where my mom's cousin had her reception party years ago. I still remember this restaurant. The wedding guests arrive shortly after Eric and I. The first thing we do for the reception party is a Newly Wed's Game. Each of the guests will ask Eric and I questions to see how well we know each other. As well as questions about our relationship.
"The first question is; how did you guys first meet?" Kayla asked.
"This is kind of a funny story. I was actually in a café in Seoul, South Korea. When I locked eyes with this handsome man, I knew it was Eric Nam. We sat at a table together and talked about how I was the one who slid into his DMs." I said.
"Wow, that's so cute." Kayla said.
"The next question is; how did you know they were the one?" Coni asked. She's my cousin who I'm closest with.
"I just knew because we fell in love from love at first sight. I knew this girl was the one I was gonna marry some day. She was incredibly gorgeous, unlike any girl I've ever seen before." Eric said.
"Aww, thanks babe." I said.
"The next question is a little spicy; who is the better kisser?" My brother asked.
Eric and I point and each other, "Clearly, we both agree that the other is the best kisser." I said.
"I was your first boyfriend, but you knew how to kiss really well." Eric said.
"I practiced on my stuffed animals." I said, laughing awkwardly.
"Cute?" Eric asked.
The guests laugh.
"Last question; what's their favorite band and/or artist?" Angela asked.
"That's easy. My favorite artist is this guy sitting right next to me; Eric Nam." I said.
"Anyone else than me." Eric said.
"Okay, fine. My favorite group is ATEEZ." I said.
"Oh, they're dope." Eric said.
"What about you?" I asked.
"My favorite artist is a good friend of mine, Khalid." Eric said.
"Oh, he's so good." I said, "Location is my favorite Khalid song."
"That's a good one. I like Eastside, in collaboration with Halsey and benny blanco." Eric said.
"Ah, that's a good one." I said. The last activity for the reception party is a mini concert from Eric. He performs a set of 5 songs. He performs; Any Other Way, I Don't Know You Anymore, Lost On Me, Wildfire, and Paradise. Even when it's a mini concert, Eric puts his all into his performance. His live vocals blow our guests away. They weren't expecting such strong vocals from a man who is 5'8 and has the type of personality that he has. That's what makes Eric such a talented singer. His personality and his talent make him the best person ever. When Eric finished his performance, the reception party ends. I'd call this day a huge success. My parents met Eric's parents and they became friends. Although Eric's brothers are much older than my brother, they were able to bond and become friends too. I'm glad that my family and Eric's family can get along. This day is wrapping up quite nicely.
