Mia's pov
I felt someone's lips on my cheek which caused me to open my eyes and the first thing I saw was beautiful crystal blue eyes staring at me and I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face.

Mia: good morning
Jaden: more like afternoon it's one sleeping beauty
Mia: what? Why did you let me sleep in so late?
Jaden: because you woke up twice last night screaming.. you don't remember?
Mia: (shakes her head) how bad were the nightmares?
Jaden: well the first time was around twelve you were whimpering in your sleep and then you started crying so ness shook you to try and wake you up which scared you even more so you screamed until I held you and sang angels and demons till you fell asleep
Mia: what about the second one?
Jaden: it was around three when you started kicking ness's leg which woke her up and you started fighting in your sleep.. and almost started scratching your arm but I stopped you from doing that until you woke up and I calmed you down, so you really not remember?
Mia: no but I believe you it wouldn't be the first time my foster parents used to tell me I woke them up at night screaming and the next thing I know I got hit on the cheek
Jaden: (sighs and hugs her) how old were you?
Mia: eight or seven
Jaden: you should have never had to go through half the things you've been through and it's not fair but you know what

Jaden's pov
I kept her chin in my hand and leaned down to kiss her and she quickly reciprocated I wrapped my arms around her waist and sat her on my lap and kept the kiss going while she ran her fingers through my hair and I let out a groan and stopped kissing her lips and kissed her jawline then her neck and I felt a tug on my hair and looked up at Mia before kissing her lips again and brought my hand under her shirt before gripping her breast and she let out a whine.

Nessa: go put on a sports bra and leggings you are learning self defense today
Mia: okay (walks towards the closet and pulls out a mint green sports bra with some matching leggings and puts her hair into a ponytail)
Nessa: that's good (puts on a black sports bra and some leggings)
Mia's pov
I followed ness downstairs towards the dining room where Jaden and the other boys were sitting along with the girls eating, ness sat on the left side of Jaden while I sat on the right because I knew Jaden would want me next to him in case I needed help with eating. A few minutes later Rafy brought out eggs, bacon and toast so it was a simple breakfast and nothing to crazy but I still only wanted a piece of toast with a piece of bacon so that's what I put on my plate but I could feel Jaden's gaze on me and just as I was about to put the plate down on the table he took it from my hand.

Mia: hey!
Jaden: you didn't think you were about to get away with only a piece of toast and one slice of bacon did you? (Puts a scrambled egg on her plate)
Mia: it was worth a shot (mumbles)
Jaden: yeah nice try (cuts a piece of egg with a fork and brings it to her mouth) take a bite
Mia: (sighs) okay (takes a bite)
Jaden: now do you think you can feed yourself or do you want me to do it?
Mia: I can do it (mumbles and grabs the fork from his hand and grabs another piece of egg before putting it in her mouth)
Jaden: good girl (looks at the gang) Kio what do you know about Cameron being back in LA?
Kio: not much just that carter texted on the burner phone we gave him and said cam was back in town with Nash and Hayes and that he's pissed because he found out we threatened Nash
Jaden: (rolls his eyes) so Nash clearly didn't take our warning seriously
Kio: guess not
Jaden: then we are going to have to show him we are legit
Nessa: what are you planning on doing Jaden? She's pregnant remember
Jaden: don't worry we won't hurt her, I just want to scare her enough to the point that Nash has no choice but to go back to North Carolina
Nessa: what are you planning Jaden?
Jaden: griffin and Taylor get the next flight out to North Carolina I want you to break into her house, don't hurt her just tell her that if Nash doesn't go back home things won't be so pretty for him and if she wants him to actually live to see the baby born he better do what you guys say if that doesn't scare him enough then we kill him
Griffin: got it let's go Taylor
Taylor: alright (gets up from the table)
Jaden: good Kio I want you to find out anything else if Cameron is planning something tonight I want to know what it is before he does it
Kio: got it I'll hack into his phone and try to get a location
Jaden: good also be on the lookout for any texts from Taylor and carter if anyone's going to know something it's them
Josh: what else do you want us to do?
Jaden: you, Bryce and I are going to go to the east side of LA, Cooper, Blake and Quinton you are going to to go the west Side of LA talk
Quinton: okay but what are we going to do?
Jaden: tell them that there's a new gang trying to gain territory and the only way and that we won't allow that to happen so our clients have to stay loyal to us and if they aren't there will be severe consequences got it?
Cooper: yeah no problem (looks at the guys) let's go
Mia's pov
I kind of zoned out during that whole conversation, I ate half of my toast and ate the slice of bacon so now I was just playing with the egg on my plate and cut it into smaller pieces to make it look I was eating and since Jaden was in the midst of a conversation with ness now I took that at my sign to get up and put the plate on the sink and just as I was about to stand up I felt a hand on my wrist stop me.

Jaden: just because I am talking to ness doesn't mean I am not paying attention to what your doing little one sit your ass back down

A few minutes later Jaden was done feeding me and he left with the boys while the girls and I went to the underground gym and headed towards the boxing ring and I was wondering if we were going to use the boxing gloves or if it was just the area to learn self defense.

Nessa: alright get on the mat, now I am not going to be fighting you because I am going to tell you what to do so you are going to be fighting Dixie

Mia's pov
Dixie got in the ring with me and ness told her to start so she went to throw a punch and ness told me to grab her wrist to block her and twist it so I did that but she used her other hand to throw another punch and ness told me to catch that one so I did and then threw a kick towards her stomach but Dixie was able to deflect and instead twist my wrists and flip me to the ground.

Mia: ugh (groans)
Nessa: it's okay get up and try again
(Mia stands up and Dixie throws a punch)
Nessa: now grab her wrists enough so she can't move them like she did last time
Mia: like this (grips tighter)
Dixie: yeah just don't dig your nails into my skin we are only practicing (jokes)
Mia: oops sorry force of habit
Dixie: it's okay let's go again now that you know
Mia: okay
(Dixie throws a punch and Mia holds onto her wrists so Dixie kicks in her stomach and Mia falls to the ground)
Nessa: next time kick her down before she can kick you
Mia: ugh okay (stands up)
Nessa: go again
(Dixie throws a punch and Mia blocks it and kicks in her in the stomach knocking Dixie to the ground)
Dixie: good job you are getting better let's keep going
Scene change
Bryce: so now that we talked to our clients what's next?
Jaden: I want to upgrade the security system in the house guards are not enough
Josh: what did you have in mind?
Jaden: I want silent alarms throughout the house and I want a system that's going to alert us as soon as someone is by our house that's not authorized to be there
Bryce: isn't that mode of kio's thing?
Jaden: yeah he told me what to buy so we are going to do that and then he'll work his magic
Ring ring ring
Jaden: (picks up his phone) what's up?
Kio: I just got a call from cater he said cam is planning on breaking into the house with Hayes and the jacks
Jaden: okay get the guns ready if they are dumb enough to come into our house we kill them on the spot
Kio: got it
Jaden: also I am on my way to buy that security system
Kio: alright see you back at the house
Scene change
Mia's pov
We spent the next two hours practicing I was sweating, my body was aching and I am pretty sure I am going to get a bruise on my back and stomach from the amount of times I was punched. I wanted to be done and I couldn't take it anymore, I also felt like crying but I didn't want to do that in front of the other girls.

Mia: ness can we stop for today?
Nessa: do it two more times and we'll be done
Mia: I can't (whines)
Nessa: yes you can, go ahead two more times and then you can take a nice hot bath
Mia: how about we just call it a day and I go take a bath now?

Dixie: alright let's do it

Mia's pov
I swallowed the urge to cry and got into position Sab came at me with a punch and when I went to grab her wrists she quickly blocked me from doing so and instead grabbed my wrists in the process, instead of kicking me though she just pinned me down onto the mat until ness called time. We went again and I once again ended up on the floor this time with a pain in my stomach.

Nessa: alright love you are done for today despite you getting knocked down you kept getting back up and you tried and that's all that matters okay?
Mia: okay... I am going to go take a bath
Nessa: okay I am going to keep working with the girls make sure you eat lunch
Mia's pov
I just nodded my head and made my way up to what is now our room, I walked into the bathroom and undressed and grabbed the lavender bath salts ness kept under the sink, turned the water on and poured some in. I mixed it into the water before stepping inside and letting my skin absorb the heat and I started thinking about how defenseless and pathetic I was. Sure I managed to flip Dixie twice but how do I know she just didn't let me have the win because she felt pity for me? How am I supposed to be part of the gang if I am not good enough and if I am not good enough than Jaden and ness are not going to want me anymore because I can't contribute to anything. At that thought the tears started welling up in my eyes and I couldn't help but feel even more pathetic that I was crying again. I curled myself into a ball and wrapped my arms around my legs and just started sobbing.

Scene change
Jaden's pov
I had just gotten home and gave the security system to Kio so he could enhance it and was on my way to see ness and Mia who I figured were still in the gym. When I got there I saw ness on the treadmill, Sab and Dixie were boxing, Amelie and Julie were sparring but I didn't see Mia so I went up to ness to say hi and see where she was. I saw ness struggling on the treadmill for a second and realized she didn't adjust her weight properly so I helped her with that and then waited for her to finish her set before pecking her on the lips.

Nessa: how did it go with our clients?
Jaden: pretty good they basically said they don't like the idea of having someone else trying to see them drugs because they don't know if it could be laced with anything and they know that we only put the ingredients in our products that they want in them so we won't have to worry about losing customers
Nessa: that's good
Jaden: how did the lesson go with Mia?
Nessa: (sighs) she's going to need a lot of practice, she flipped Dixie twice but the other times she landed on the ground, the girlfriend in me wanted to comfort her every time she fell but the teacher part of me knew that if I want her to learn I have to be tough
Jaden: is she okay?
Nessa: I don't know she went upstairs to take a bath and I haven't seen her since
Jaden: okay I'll go check on her, are you going to be down here much longer?
Nessa: fifteen more minutes
Jaden: okay I don't want you to overdue it either (pecks her on the lips) I'll see you in a few
Nessa: okay
Jaden's pov
I walked back upstairs to the house and towards our room and that's when I heard the sound of crying coming from the bathroom. It didn't take a genius to figure out that it was Mia so I knocked on the door.

Jaden: Mia are you okay in there?
Mia: (sniffles and wipes her eyes) y yeah I am fine
Jaden: are you lying to me?
(Mia stays quiet)
Jaden: Mia are you going to answer me?
Mia: (sighs) fine yes I am lying
Jaden: I am coming in I want to make sure you didn't... do anything
Mia: I didn't, I'll be right out (quickly drains the water and wraps a towel around her body and opens the door) see I am fine
Jaden: tell that to your red eyes and swollen cheeks, come here (opens his arms)
Mia's pov
I wrapped the towel around me tighter and walked into his arms and he started stroking my wet hair while I was trying not to cry again but his comforting motion and the feeling of protection in his arms caused me to start crying again.

Jaden: (sits Mia down on his lap not caring about his jeans getting wet from the towrl) that's not true and you know it the only reason we want you to learn self defense is because if we aren't there to protect you at some point from an enemy you need to at least know how to get away

Jaden: you will you just need practice and it's only your second time you can't expect to be good at something you don't have experience in it's okay

Jaden: yeah now let's get you dressed before you get sick again (sits her on the bed)
Mia's pov
Jaden walked over to the closet which now had my clothes in it to and came back with a pair of lace pink underwear that had hearts on them with his black skull sweatshirt that went down to my knees. I let him get me dressed before picking me back up and setting me down on his lap where he replaced his jeans with a pair of sweats.

Jaden: now how about we go get something to eat yes?
Mia: I guess
Jaden: come on (stands up)

Mia's pov
We walked over to the living room and went to HBO Max and saw that they added west side story I had heard of it and knew it was a musical but I had never seen it.

Jaden: why not (puts it on)
Mia's pov
We were in the middle of west side story when Rafy came and told us the vodka pasta was ready but since we were watching the musical Jaden said we could eat in the living room so that's what we did and a few minutes later Ness came over to sit on the couch with us and wrapped her arms around me.

Nessa: I am sorry I was so tough on you today
Mia: it's okay I get why you have to be
Nessa: so we are good?
Mia: (smiles and pecks her on the lips) yeah we are good
(Nessa smiles and kisses her and then Jaden kisses both of them)
Mia's pov
We finished west side story and it was already dark outside and everyone was back from running their errands and sitting on the couch with us. When west side story finished the boys wanted to watch an Adam Sandler comedy so we settled for Grown ups since it's a classic. We were at the part of the movie where everyone was supposed to go to the water park when Kio ran into the room.

Jaden: shit grab the guns, Mia go upstairs to the room, lock the door and do not come out until one of us comes to get you
Mia: w what's going on?
Jaden: Cameron and his men are trying to break in but don't worry we'll be fine, we just want you safe so go upstairs and wait for one of us okay?
Mia: I d don't want to leave you
Bryce: they are on the driveway
Jaden: start shootings do not let them get inside, Mia do as I say and go upstairs
