Chapter 8

Mia's pov
This morning I woke up from another nightmare but this time it was a really bad one and felt more realistic probably because it was a memory rather than just a nightmare, and yeah I know I have nightmares most nights anyway there's something about this one that makes my skin crawl. Usually when I have these nightmares it tends to affect my whole day and I just want to crawl under the covers and hide away... but of course Jaden and Nessa had other plans.

Jaden: Mia you have to eat something
Mia: no (says from under the covers)
Jaden: well it's a good thing that I wasn't asking
Mia: not hungry (mumbles)
Jaden: what if you just had a little bit of oatmeal?
Mia: ew no
Nessa: cereal
Mia: no! God just leave me alone about it already I am not hungry and nothing you two are going to say is going to change my mind so get off my back!
Jaden's pov
I think this was the first time that's she actually raised her voice like that towards us but I didn't care. If there was one thing I hated it was people raising their voices at Nessa and I, so I pulled the sheets off of her, gently grabbed her by the waist and sat her on my lap so that she couldn't hide from us.

Jaden: first of all no one is yelling at you so don't raise your voice at us second of all you heard what griffin said about you skipping meals
Mia: I I a am s s sorry I yelled p p please d don't hit me (covers her face with her hands)
Jaden: (sighs and pulls her hands away from her face) how many times do we have to tell you that we aren't going to hit you?
Mia: b b but I y y yelled a at you and y your m m mad at me and n now y your g going to h hurt me
Jaden: (starts running his fingers through her hair) I am mad that you aren't eating, I don't care that you yelled even though you shouldn't have done that I'll let it slide for now
Mia: f for now? (Looks at him confused) d does t that m m mean n next t time y your g going to hurt me?
Jaden: no what did I tell you Nessa and I will never hurt you, we might punish you in some type of way but we won't hurt you
Mia: c can you t tell me w what t type of p punishment?
Jaden: before we can tell you that we need to tell you the rules and we want you to trust us
Nessa: do you trust us Mia? (Looks her in the eyes)
Mia: I don't trust anyone (looks down at the floor)
Jaden: I don't believe that (lifts up her chin) I think you do trust us but you don't want to admit it because you are scared
Mia's pov
How does he know what I am thinking and feeling? Is he a vampire on top of being a gang leader... don't he ridiculous he's not a vampire Mia he just has a really strong Intuition when it comes to people and he's right some part of me does trust them, I know they would never actually hurt me but my mind also loves to play tricks on me and there's still that feeling in the back of my mind that they are going to turn out to be just like everyone else.

Jaden: Mia (waves his hand in her face)
Mia: hmm (looks at him)
Jaden: Ness asked you a question are you going to answer her?
Mia: y y yeah I uh I trust you guys
Nessa: you didn't sound so sure when you said that
Mia: I mean I t t trust you g guys t to a c certain p point b but n not all the way
Jaden: what can we do to help you trust us? (Puts his hand on thigh)
Nessa: do you need us to prove it to you (pushes a strand of hair behind her ear)
Mia: h h how?
Jaden: (looks at nessa and then back at Mia) lay down and we'll show you (smirks at her)
Mia's pov
That smirk on his face said it all and if it wasn't for the the feeling of sparks I got on my skin just from him touching my thigh I would be running away by now, but it was like I was under a spell with them in front of me and my I felt myself lay back down on the bed.

Mia's pov
Nessa's lips touched mine and her lips we definitely softer then Jaden's and tasted like cherry because of the lip gloss she was wearing so it didn't take long for me to reciprocate the kiss. A few seconds later the kiss got more heated because ness pushed her tongue in my mouth immediately winning dominance, I was so into the kiss that I forgot about Jaden until I felt a pair of hands pull on my pajama pants and pull them down and felt hands massaging my thighs, I felt my body tense up immediately and memories from the dream came to mind and I started to whimper into the kiss.

I let out a moan when nessa started rubbing me and I gasped at the skin to skin contact and arched my back again. Jaden took the opportunity to lift my shirt off so that I was bare in front of him and immediately my insecurities were triggered and I tried to hide myself but he didn't let me because he pulled my hands away from my chest and lifted them above my head, and I tried to lower them but he lifted them back up and pinned my wrists down on the pillow.

And with that I let go and for the first time I came like actually came, I didn't have to pretend like I did when James and his friends made me. Jaden: we'll get to that but first we need to talk about the kind of relationship we have so my first question is do you know what a dominant and submissive are?

I tensed up at those words considering sometimes I scratch my arms and I purge which definitely don't fall under the "stay healthy rule and the no keeping secrets" so should I tell them or just leave it alone. The right choice would be to tell them but then I risk getting in trouble and I don't want that just yet so I'll just do my best to make sure I don't get caught. Although I am wondering why Jaden didn't ask about the scratches on my wrist when he took off shirt, maybe he didn't notice them so let's just make sure to keep it that way.

Mia: yeah I am here
Nessa: what were you thinking about?
Mia: nothing just processing it, what are the punishments.. you know if I don't listen?

(Mia turns to her side and cuddles a pillow and closes her eyes while Jaden and Nessa walk out of the room and into the dining room)
Griffin: finally you two are up, what took so long?
Josh: do you even have to ask they were probably having morning sex
(Julie hits him on the shoulder)

Julie: (rolls her eyes) do you even have a filter

(Kio walks into the kitchen)
Kio: so I was finally able to hack into Cameron's cameras
Jaden: what did you find?
Kio: they were able to hack into our system two weeks ago but we never knew about it since they never did anything till yesterday
Jaden: okay what did you do about it?
Kio: I replaced the cameras with new ones this morning and then added some extra security codes along with an alert to notify us if they try to hack in again, but I wanted to know if you want to replace the house cameras as well
Jaden: yeah the last thing I need is for him to invade our house
Kio: okay I'll go to the store with Cooper and we'll be back later
Cooper: why me? (Sitting at the table)
Kio: because I need your help installing them and you are good at that
Cooper: alright
Nessa: I am going to workout with the girls, what are you going to do babe?
Jaden: I have to meet Travis at the studio we are trying to get the deluxe out soon, I don't want to keep the fans waiting forever
Nessa: okay have a good session (pecks him on the lips)

(Jaden leaves the house and nessa goes downstairs to work out)

Dream (5 year old Mia)
Social worker: I can't believe I have to pick you up again! This is fifth home that has gotten rid of you because you decided to be a brat!
Mia: I wasn't being a brat! That mean lady took bunny away and then hit me!
Social worker: (slaps her across the face) you are a little liar you hit your foster mother when she was only trying to help and because of your insolent behavior you got sent back and now you have to be taught a lesson
Mia: no please I am sorry don't lock me in the closet!
Social worker: oh sweetie I am not going to lock you in the closet, I am going to punish you first and then lock you in the closet
Mia: no! (Starts running away)
Social worker: come back here! (Chases after her)
Mia: your going to lock me in da dark closet it's scary In there!
Social worker: well you should have thought about that before getting sent back here (catches up to her and picks her up and walks her towards the bathroom)
Mia: no no no!! Put me down I don't want to go in there!
Social worker: shut up and quit your whining (walks inside the bathroom and closes the door and turns the water on to a really cold temperature)
Mia: no no I be good I promise! Don't put me in the cold water!
Social worker: maybe next time you'll learn your lesson (grabs her and sticks her head under the water)
Mia: let me go! (Thrashes)

(Josh is downstairs with Julie watching a movie)
Mia: NO LET ME GO I CAN'T BREATHE!! STOP!!
Josh: shit babe go get Nessa I am going to check on her
Julie: okay
Josh's pov
I got off the couch and walked upstairs to Jaden and Nessa's room and took out the key to open it since I have one and when I opened the door I saw Mia thrashing on the bed, she was sweating and tears were streaming down her face. I walked over to her and lightly shook her and tried to get her to wake up and a few seconds later she sat up opening her eyes gasping for breath. I tried to wrap my arms around her to comfort her but she flinched and I backed away.

I didn't want to be alone in the room with josh even though part of me knew he wouldn't try to hurt me it was still in the back of my mind that he could if he wanted to. My mind was spiraling, I was shaking and I couldn't get it to stop until I saw ness walk through the door and within two seconds she had her arms around me and was holding me tight. I focused on her heart beat and her hands were rubbing my knuckles and trying to get to me regulate my breathing and eventually I felt myself get back to normal.

Nessa: are you okay love?
Mia: y y yeah
Nessa: do you want to talk about it?
(Mia shakes her head and just holds onto nessa)
Nessa: okay I won't force you right now, but how about a nice hot bath your clothes are soaked with sweat and your still shivering
Mia: n n no b b bath i p p promise I I'll b b be g good I am s s sorry I h h had a n nightmare I d d didn't mean too (cries)
Nessa: baby no no your not in trouble I know it wasn't your fault it's okay (runs her fingers through her hair)
Mia's pov
I don't know how long I was in Nessa's arms for because I lost track of time and she just just ran her fingers through my hair and comforted me while I tried to forget about that horrible dream. But we must have been in the room for a while because then there was a knock on the door and my body immediately latched onto nessa again.

Rafy: (opens the door) hey ness I made chicken soup for lunch would you like me to bring you and Mia a bowl
Nessa: yes please thank you
Rafy: no problem (closes the door)
Mia: n n not h hungry
Nessa: baby you didn't have breakfast, you need to have a little bit of soup
Mia: but
Nessa: no it's not up for debate
Mia's pov
I didn't have the mental capacity to argue with her so I just nodded my head and laid it back on her shoulder and a few minutes later Rafy came in with two bowls of soups and spoons with a tray and set it In front of nessa and I. I didn't want to move though because I felt comfortable and safe In her arms and I really did not feel like eating anyway.

Nessa: do you want me to feed you?
(Mia nods her head)
Nessa: okay
Nessa's pov
I never knew how tricky feeding someone soup could be on top of eating from my bowl too but Mia's was definitely more clingy then normal and I didn't want to push her away when she's starting to trust me so I alternated between feeding her and myself. She was still in her clothes from earlier because she refused any idea of a shower or a bath which is unusual since she's been fine with both before, but something tells me it has to do with her dream and I don't want to push her but I also don't want her to get sick so I decided to try again.

Nessa: Mia are you sure you don't want to take a nice hot b

Nessa: (sighs) okay let's just watch something until Jaden comes yeah?

(Nessa puts on the vampire diaries and three episodes later the bedroom door opens and Jaden walks in)

Nessa: how was the studio?
Jaden: good we got two songs done so hopefully we can release them soon
Nessa: that's good
Jaden: how was your day?
Nessa: I worked out with the girls for a bit and then Mia had a nightmare and I have been with her since
Jaden: what was it about?
Mia: d d don't w w want to talk about it
Jaden's pov
I looked at Mia and could see the fear in her eyes and decided to not push it so instead I just crawled into bed with the girls and was going to cuddle up to Mia when I felt her shirt was damp.

Mia: I was sweating when I woke up from the d dream and
Jaden: and you could get sick why haven't you showered and changed out of it? It's not good for to stay in wet clothes

Nessa: I have been trying for hours now and she doesn't even want to move from my arms
Jaden's pov
I looked at Ness and could tell she was conflicted on one hand she knew she should push Mia to shower and not only
For the reason that she could get sick but a hot bath would relax her because I can feel her body tense up against mine and on the other hand she didn't want to upset Mia more than she already was so ultimately it was going to have to come down to me and I am not about to let Mia get sick again when she just got done being sick to begin with.

Jaden: Mia come have a bath with me it'll make you feel better
Mia: n n no (holds onto nessa's arm)
Jaden: I wasn't asking, I am telling you to come take a bath with me I don't want you getting sick
Mia: (shakes her head) n no b bath
Jaden: fine then a shower
Mia: no shower either
Jaden: it's not up for debate come on (leans over and picks her up)
Mia: NO NO NO PUT ME DOWN!! PLEASE I DON'T WANT TOO!! (Thrashes In his grip)
Jaden: alright alright I'll put you down but you need to tell me why you are scared all of a sudden
Mia: fine just put down
(Jaden sits her on a bean bag chair in the corner of the room and crouches down to her level with ness who got off the bed and walks over and stands next to him while Mia plays with her fingers)
Jaden: Mia are you going to tell me? (Holds onto her hand)
Mia: m m my nightmare was a f flashback
Nessa: of what honey?
Mia: my s s social worker, i had just got sent back from my fifth h home a and s she p p punished m me by dunking my head in and out of freezing cold water... in the bathtub (looks down)
Nessa: oh love that's horrible (hugs her) how old were you?
Mia: f f five
Jaden: I am so sorry that happened to you baby, you've been through a lot of shit and I understand that right now the water might scare you but you've taken a bath with ness and I before and we never did anything like that
Mia: I I I know b but m my just k keeps thinking about it
Jaden: I understand so how about we all just take a quick one and I promise you'll be okay
Mia: y you promise?
Jaden: yes
Mia's pov
I knew there was really no way of getting out of it so I just agreed and followed nessa and Jaden into the bathroom where they helped me strip and then they stripped and we got into the water. I closed my eyes when Jaden put the shower head over me and my mind flash backed but nessa took me out of it as soon as she held my hand and rubbed my knuckles and kept holding them while Jaden rinsed the shampoo and conditioner away too. After that I was okay and we finished taking a bath and I got dressed and Jaden handed me one of his merch hoodies and we laid back down on the bed. This time I was laying with my head on Jaden's shoulders and was playing with the rings he had in his hand and then looked up at him and I couldn't help but reach my hand out and play with his hair. He realized what I was doing and looked at and smiled.

Jaden: nothing I just love it when my girls play with my hair
Mia: (smiles) you said my girls
Jaden: yeah you and Nessa, I know you don't want the label right now but with or without it your still mine (pecks her on the lips)
Mia: I don't think I'll ever get tired of you kissing me
Jaden: good I hope that never changes because I love kissing you
Mia: even if I am no good at it?
Jaden: what? Who says you weren't a good kisser
Mia: I have only ever really kissed you.. I don't know if I am any good
Jaden: well if I haven't told you that then that's on me because you are a great kisser
Mia: really?
Jaden: hmm (kisses her again)
Mia: I am tired
Jaden: get some sleep then
Mia: can you guys sing to me? I don't think I have heard you sing yet
Nessa: (looks at Jaden) la di die?
Jaden: (smiles) you start baby
Mia's pov
And that's how I closed my eyes for the third time with ness's soft voice and Jaden's raspy one and when both their voices are put together like magic and I was asleep in seconds.
