Hiiro was a normal man.

Even in his past life, he was a college student who's diet mainly consisted of cup ramen and energy drinks. He wasn't the type that was insanely smart or super athletic. Due to the fact that he was born an orphan, he worked part-time at a local corner store while attending classes to pay for tuition.

Although he was by no means rich, he never felt dissatisfied by his life, even if he did die because of his unhealthy lifestyle.

However.

Today, Hiiro finally understood the gap between a poor college student and the life of the fabled one percent.

Being shown around, he felt as though he was walking in a vault of treasures. Thinking that the prices in the lower floors were already insanely expensive, the ones at the top floor couldn't even be compared!

Suddenly, a random memory popped into his mind.

He remembered that the original Hiiro once did go into an equipment store.

However, it was really early in the story. Walking into the store, he looked at the prices and immediately walked back out. After that, he never went back into one of them, and only used weapons he had procured from rifts.

"Ah... I see now..."

Hiiro had a profound look, as he felt his soul fleet away. He felt like he was able to communicate with the original Hiiro.

"You were also just a broke college kid huh... you worked hard..."

Shedding a tear for a fallen comrade, Hiiro only nodded to himself, as he reached enlightenment.

The two other people in the room, however, only questioned his sanity.

Either way, Hiiro realized that the only reason he was here was because of this demon next to him!

What's more! He has to go into another rift?! That's insane?! No way! What kind of idiot would just knowingly commit suicide like that?! He doesn't want to die again!

However, he knew that there was no way this stubborn man would hear out his pleas.

With a fiery passion in his heart, he could only resolve to do one thing.

"Even if I can't do anything to go against him now! At least I can drain his bank account!!"

Deus could see the mischievous look on Hiiro's face. Seeing a plan brewing in his head, the man smirked, amused about what Hiiro could be planning.

The salesperson looked on at the two, keeping her true expression hidden behind a smile. She watched the two, and could only think one thing.

"Weird people will always flock together, huh..."

...

As Hiiro picked out multiple equipment that were extremely pricy, he didn't even try to look at what they were meant for.

"Are you a spear user, sir? Did you not just pick out a hammer?"

"Nope! However, I might use it one day, so I want to be safe!"

Trying his best to act naturally, all three knew that Hiiro could not act, even if his life depended on it.

After finishing, Hiiro huffed in satisfaction!

Although he did this to mess with Deus, he couldn't help admit that it was really fun! This must be what all those rich kids who can buy a whole store feel like!

He couldn't help wanting to try out pointing from one side to the other and saying to buy all of it, next time!

"Will that be all, sir?"
