Journal Entry no. 5 - Sam Smith's Lay Me Down
Sam Smith. Wow. This guy is cool.
Maybe some of you are a fan of Sam Smith and maybe you guys already heard his song Lay Me Down which ironically, I didn't know until it's video was attached to one of the books that I'm reading.
I've been hearing his name for a long time now and I haven't really been curious. I know that he won an award (Grammys, was it?) and that he has a great voice. I totally agree with that.
Lay Me Down.
It's a sweet, touching, sad song. At least, for me it's a sad song. It reminds me of an Ed Sheeran song. Nothing specific, just the way that Ed writes his song and the meaning within it.
This song portrays so much love for his other half and it's just so... sad.
This song for me means that the speaker isn't letting himself fall for the person but he just can't stop himself. He surrenders. Now, he's asking if the person feels or could feel the same way about him.
It's tugging my heartstrings.
Let's just end this with that. I'm getting sad. Haha!
Anyways,
Shout out to all the fans of Sam Smith! I now realize why you are a fan. He's really great.

Told me not to cry when you were gone but the feeling's overwhelming, it's much too strong.

It reminds me of you. I miss you.
