Lisa finally felt that Jennie had started to treat this as a problem, so he frowned and muttered to himself, "Jennie, how old are you?"
Jennie bit her lips and took a deep breath again. She felt that this roundabout dialogue had really twisted her IQ into negative.
She quickly changed the topic, "Actually, what I wanted to ask is why you come to the company today?"
Lisa immediately frowned.
Seeing him frown, Jennie decided to change the topic again. "I still haven't thought of what gift I will give to Rosé. Why don't we look around?"
Even Jennie had to admire her own quick thinking, quick reflexes, and quick change of topic. It was probably due to that girl Nayeon.
Lisa looked at her. His dark and calm eyes stared straight into his eyes.
Jennie could hear the sound of her heart clenching. She didn't know why, but she felt that his glance was a little meaningful, like a whirlpool.
She was already used to his usual calmness, used to his understanding of herself and his trust. She was also used to all the good things about him, but when Lisa behaved like this, she really didn't know how to coax him.
OMG, who will teach her how to make a man happy?
A few days ago, she had agreed to give Rosé a present so that she could feel the warmth of her family as soon as she came back, instead of rejecting the idea of returning home. But Jennie hadn't come across anything suitable for her in the past few days.
In the end, Jennie picked out two small gifts and wrapping them up. When she walked out of the gift shop, she saw Lisa leaning against the side of the car. Between his fingers, there were flickering light spots and a slightly whitening smog.
Jennie held both items and walked towards Lisa. It was almost dusk. "Hubby, how about we take a walk around the night market."
Lisa glanced at her with a rare sharp gaze. "Reason."
Jennie thought of the lines she thought of when she was shopping at the gift shop. "Just now, the gift shop's boss introduced me to a lot of new toys at a nearby night market."
Afraid that he would say it was unnecessary, she added, "We, women, are in some ways in common. Whether she would like these gifts or not, she would at least appreciate it once she saw them. Don't you feel sorry for her? I want to pick out a few more things for her. "
Lisa looked at his watch and frowned. "At this time?"
"It's almost 5 o'clock. The night market will open around 5 o'clock. I heard it's nearby. Let's go for a walk." She laughed.
Lisa gave her a casual and cold look, as if to say: Who wants to walk around with you?
"Hubby~" Jennie took his arm, gently shaking it. "Let's go for a walk together at the night market, just like those ordinary little couples. We can also search for food and relax, how about it?"
It was clear that Lisa didn't have the same thoughts as her. He lowered his head and looked at her hands that were tightly wrapped around his arm. Then, he lifted his eyes and swept his gaze over her with a reluctant expression.
As the two of them walked side by side, Jennie purposely took a walk around the nearby street area where the scenery was more pleasing to the eye.
It was almost six o'clock when they finally arrived at the Night Market Street. It was already much darker at six o'clock in the season. They crossed the brightly lit street and arrived at the area.
Jennie suddenly hesitated when she saw the bustling crowd in front of her. She was a little worried that Lisa would not adapt to the noisy environment, but when she glanced at him, she saw that his face was still gloomy.
When he stared at the unhygienic barbecue at the roadside stalls, his eyebrows slightly knitted together.
Jennie had not been around the night market for a long time, so she was in high spirits. Although the weather was not so hot, the winter in H City was rarely snowy. In this kind of night market, it was crowded, and her nose was filled with the smell of sweat, smoke, and fragrant baked snacks.
Jennie hurriedly tried to squeeze through the crowd, but due to overcrowding, her grip on Lisa's arm slipped.
She turned her head, only to be pushed forward a dozen steps. When she looked into the crowd, Lisa was already nowhere to be seen.
She was just about to walk back when she felt a push. Jennie immediately tried to grab something to steady herself, but her high heels made her stumble, and she fell backward.
Oh no! There was an 80% chance that she would be trampled to death if she fell down in a place liked this!
Out of a sudden, a hand immediately grabbed her wrist. Jennie quickly steadied herself with that hand. Lisa walked through the crowd to support her. She asked, "Where did you run off to?"
Lisa supported her, his voice still cold. "Are you sure you can buy what you want in a place like this?"
Jennie paused and looked back at the crowd. She said uncertainly, "There should be. Usually, there are a lot of new things in the night market. The gift shop's owner said we can find them by the middle of the street."
After saying that, Jennie continued moving forwards when she suddenly felt the grip on her waist tighten. Lisa embraced her and hugged her to his chest. The originally clean and ironed clothes were wrinkled due to the crowded crowd.
Jennie remembered that Lisa had always been unusually clean, but now he could only frown and hold onto her tightly while both of them walked all the way to Night Market Street.
Her heart warmed, and the familiar feeling of being cared for welled up once again. She was firmly locked in the crook of his arm, her face pressed against his chest, and she could feel that familiar cold breath that belonged solely to him.
Jennie's heart was currently moved, and she also wondered if Lisa had calmed down or not.
"Lisa, how about we go have some barbecue?" She raised her face towards him.
Lisa ignored her.
In the end, the two of them had already almost reached the middle of the street.
Jennie's heart sank as she looked at him helplessly. For some inexplicable reason, she felt an intense pain in her heart. She didn't like this feeling ...
A feeling of not knowing what to do.
His expression was the same as usual, indifferent, and distant. His eyes did not show much emotion.
'Does he love you?'
Jisoo's words echoed in her ears.
Jennie stared at him. Suddenly, she heard his phone ring. However, she didn't know whether it was because the crowd was too noisy or because he didn't want to answer it.
"Aren't you going to pick out a present for Rosé?" Seeing that she didn't move, he forced himself to remind her.
Jennie seemed to have recovered her wits. She turned around and walked towards a nearby stall.
Lisa's face kept flashing before her eyes.
Cold, serious, distant, indifferent, smiling, serious, gentle, heartbroken, worried, calm, raised eyebrows... Since when did his appearance become so clear in her mind?
