It was deep in the night. The girls were sleeping next to each other on one side and the boys on the opposite side. In between them were Su-hyeok and Cheong-san who volunteered to guard for the night, still weary of Gwi-nam's presence. Across them are Yeon-hwa and Gwi-nam, in each other's embrace under the warm blanket laying behind the door.

Su-hyeok leaned his head back against the wall, his eyelids feeling heavier by the minute. He was at a continuous battle trying to fight the urge to fall asleep. After all, his cousin's 'boyfriend' poses a great threat not only to her, but to the rest of the group. Su-hyeok was about to close his eyes when Cheong-san nudged him with his elbow on his side, waking him up.

Cheong-san then wiggled his eyebrows at him. Su-hyeok responded by narrowing his eyes at Cheong-san, confused. Cheong-san then pointed over to Yeon-hwa and Gwi-nam's direction with his eyes, who were laying down side by side.

Su-hyeok understood exactly what his friend meant. He wouldn't be surprised anymore if those two were doing something nasty under the blanket during this unholy hour. After all he had been one of the few, besides Na-yeon, to catch them doing the deed.

flashback to a year ago

After Yeon-hwa left the group of bullies, she quickly was able to move on without any issue. She had tremendously improved her grades rising from bottom rank to top 3, as well as make friends that were actually good for her. However, something about that quick shift in her personality felt off. Almost performative, to please everyone around her. Growing up closely with Yeon-hwa, he could tell even the slightest change in her behavior; when she's telling the truth, and when she's hiding something. Su-Hyeok sat at the back of the classroom, so naturally he would have a a good view of everyone in class, and what they are doing.
