Yeon-Hwa's POV

I took his offer and wrapped my arms around his. Maybe this won't be as bad as I thought?

Gwi-nam and I walked in the hallway together, with my arms around him. People parted like the red sea as they stared at us. Some people talked amongst themselves wondering what I'm doing with a person like Gwi-nam.

While some looked at me surprised, others looked genuinely worried. Despite having attractive features, people tend to overlook that because of his bad reputation.

"Smile dear. Or some people will suspect." Whispered Gwi-nam in my ear, threatening me.

I looked up at him and smiled sweetly. He then kissed the top of my head and smiled like he won the lottery. He looked over the bunch of guys who he knew had a crush on me, and gave them a look that could kill.

We entered the cafeteria, and just like the halls, people stared at us the moment we entered. Some looked surprised, others looked fearful. Perhaps it's because people are aware of my family's power and influence in the country, and now I'm dating the worst possible candidate to date in the entire school.

He walked us over to a vacant seat, and said "Stay here, I'll get us both something to eat."

"Okay. Thank you." I replied thanking him.

He gave me a kiss on the cheek before walking away.

Across from my seat, I spotted On-jo and I-sak. They waved at me and motioned me to come over to them.

I waved back but gave a signal that I was eating with Gwi-nam.

They gave me a worried look then proceeded to talk to each other. I let out a sigh. Not wanting to test Gwi-nam's temper, I stayed put.

Someone then placed a plate in front of me with all my favorite dishes. "That was quick. Don't tell me you cut the line?"

"Of course I did. I wouldn't want to make my baby wait." Said Gwi-nam.

He saw me looking over to On-jo and I-sak. "You wana sit with them?" He asked.

"To be honest with you, yeah. I do." I replied.

"Too bad. You don't need friends. You have me." He said casually.

"What? That's not fair! I can't hang out with only you all the time!" I protested.
