      Nicole

"Are you nervous?" Mrs Collins asked,  turning to look at me with a warm smile plastered across her pretty face.

I nodded gently, "just alittle." I answered, admiring the huge beautiful house, and the colorful flowers that decorated every corner, I swallowed hard.

Is this the place I'll be staying from now on?

"Don't be, you'll be fine. My kids are very friendly," she assured. Parking the car, I nodded again. I hope so, I heard she had four grown sons, that made me more nervous than I already was, if I stay out of their way, than hopefully they'll stay out of my way, I hope.

"Welcome madam," the gate man greeted bending slightly. He was wearing a yellow and brown uniform, "good evening, sir." I greeted with a smile climbing down from the car.

"How you dey?" He asked staring at me like I was such a foreign item he had never seen before. "Am fine," I answered quickly moving beside my Aunty, because I was getting really uncomfortable under his hawk like eyes.

"Madam, who be this fine pikin?" He asked in pidign rubbing his hands together, I swallowed nervously. I hope he knows am only 15?

My Aunty laughed. "Oh her name is Nicole, she'll be staying with me for the main time." She answered, the gate man nodded still retaining his joker like smile.  "Welcome my dear, if you need anything come I go dey help you o?" He added.

I didn't say anything, "that won't be necessary, Kenneth. Plus, am pretty sure Edmund and Elliot would be more than happy to help her settle in." Aunty cut in, opening the trunk of the car where my luggages were. "Where are those children? I hope they haven't gone out." She asked.

Kenneth shook his head, "na only Andrew Comot, he say he wan go barb his hair." Aunty nodded "Come and bring this bags down. Kenneth came over and helped me in carrying my bags down.

"Mum, Welcome ma." A tall boy that looked older than me greeted, he wore dark glasses. He must be one of her sons, because he looked almost like her. Saved for the skin tone, he was darker than her. But nevertheless they both shared the same symmetrical face.

"Nicole, this is my oldest twin son, Edmund." Aunty kept her hands on my shoulder, I snapped out of my daze I didn't even know I'd been staring at him. Well that's embarrassing.

    "Hi," I waved, smiling shyly.

He smiled broadly, the same warm pretty smile his mother had. "And you are?" He asked, looking at me.   "Nicole," I answered, he nodded. "Edmund. Mind you, it's Ed-mund not Ed-ward. And I do not like the nick name Ed or Eddie." He ranted, I fiddled with my fingers nervously.

I had no idea what to say again, it looked like he really hates it when people got his name wrong. "Don't call me, Nikki. Never." I added, rather boldly. He looked surprised at my sudden boldness. But chuckled and nodded, "right."

"Seems like you two are already getting along." Aunty beamed walking towards us with a big nylon in her hand, Edmund rushed to help her carry it, she smiled and gave him. "Yeap. Looks like we are, Nikki." He smirked walking towards the car.

Wait didn't I just say i hated the nickname Nikki? Oh did he do it on purpose? Well two can play at this game.

I was actually surprised at how fast, Edmund and I were becoming friends. And honestly, I liked it.

"Where's your brother?" Aunty asked Edmund, he shrugged "which one? Andrew, Kingsley or Elliot?" He asked. She glared at him "you know who am referring to."

"I don't know." He shrugged again, walking towards me to carry my bag. "Let me show you your room." He offered, I smiled and nodded, "what do you mean you don't know? So I can't go out and find all of you at home. Must you always go out?" She questioned, to know one in particular.

I followed Edmund into the big house, wow I breathed, this place is magnificent. Call me ungrateful, but am actually very happy I left my small village, I was getting very tired of being stuck in the same room with 5 siblings and having to live in a small village where everyone knew everyone wasn't very exciting at all.

"You called me Nikki, after I just told you I didn't like it." I shooted when we were climbing up the stairs, Edmund chuckled in amusement, "really? I don't recall." Seriously, it happened like two minutes ago!

"Hmmm." I answered not bothering to question him further.

We came to a door that was closed, Edmund tried the handle but it was locked. "Forgot the key," he muttered. He turned to me "wait here while I go get the key from my mother." I nodded, "hope you won't get lost?" He joked, I rolled my eyes "oh but I might, without my knight to guard me!" I answered folding my arms. He roared in laughter as he walked back downstairs.

Few minutes passed and there was no sign of Edmund, I resisted the urge to walk around and have a better look at the house, I was just about to go back downstairs when I bumped into someone, I looked up he looked just like Edmund... Well save for the fact that he wasn't wearing glasses. And sue me for saving this, but he really was handsome.

"Who are you?" He asked rudely.

I opened my mouth and shut it like a fish that was brought out of water. "What? So you can't talk abi?" He moved aside to get a better look at me, or a better glare in this case.

"What are you doing, Elliot?" Edmund said as he walked towards us, I sighed in relief going to stand close to him, I like standing close to people I know or feel safe with, whenever I felt uncomfortable or scared. "Who Is she?" The so called Elliot asked again, pointing at me.

Does he know it's very rude to point at someone?
