It's was a nice day. Sunny and warm. Daniel and Jay studied as people watched in awe. But someone else was on the student's minds. "Mai must not be coming today...you think she's ok?" Mira said worriedly. "I'm sure she's fine..." Zack said nonchalantly as he stretched in his chair. Deep down he was just as worried as Mira.

Meanwhile, Mai was out with her parents getting breakfast at a cafe. "And I punched him in the face then comforted her!" Mai was telling her parents about what she's faced so far since joining J high. They enjoyed hearing that she made friends and was having a good time. But then the sad news came. "We have to leave again tomorrow. That's why we didn't let you go to school today." Mai's father gave her the news straight and quickly.

Figured...parents are barely seen in anime or manga...didn't think that meant mine too...

"That's fine."Any person with common sense could tell Mai was indeed NOT 'fine'. "We're sorry honey, but we have to tattoo 15 men by the end of the year! We need all the time we can get...even the time meant for you." Mai's mother looked down upset with the words that came out of her mouth. She was letting work control her...she was turning into her mother.

"Are these men perhaps Yakuza?" Mai asked with a serious face. Her parents seemed surprised that she figured it out so quickly but they nodded and she nodded now understanding the situation. "I was pretty angry at first, but now I know the situation so it doesn't bother me anymore.

Normally Mai's parents wouldn't worry about what she thought when it came to their job, but now that she's so close to being an adult and she's practically taking care of herself they wouldn't want her to hate them.

Mai spent the rest of her day having fun with her parents. They went to tons of events, ate tons of food, and Mai even got a new Tattoo at the end of the day. It was just a super simple and plain hello kitty on her ankle. "Did you have fun?" Her father asked squeezing her hand a bit. "Yeah! I'm happy we're separating with a happy memory!" Her parent's hearts ached at the word 'Separating'.

Mai stayed with her parents in their penthouse as she talked the night away cuddled up with her mother and father in bed. Morning came quickly to everyone's dismay. Mai was woken by her mother's soft voice. "We're leaving." she kissed her daughter on the cheek then her father did the same.

"I'm going to miss you both." Mai said still half asleep. There was a lot of hugging before Mai was carried to her own penthouse by her father. The words 'Love you' were the last thing Mai heard of her parents before going back to sleep.

🦊MAIS POV
I decided to stay home for the next couple of days studying for my exams. I had tons of messages and missed calls from lots of people at school so I of course replied to the main people I cared about. Jay even knocked on my door yesterday to make sure I was ok. He's been dropping snacks off after I told him I was taking a break from school.

Sadly, it was the day of exams and I had to show up. I saw Daniel waiting for me and I completely forgot about the exams. "Danny!" I ran to him hugging him tightly as he did the same. "I'm happy you're back!" He let go of me and we began walking to school.
