The class got rowdy when they heard they were getting a new student, especially a girl. Mai sat in her usual seat next to Jay as they both stared out the window. Mai knew the new girl was crystal, and Jay only cared about Mai and Daniel.
The door opened revealing Crystal and the excitement died down. Mai turned to look at Crystal and wasn't exactly surprised.

"Why would a girl like that come to our department?" I heard a student say, followed by other comments. I watched as Crystal observed everyone making her own judgments. I could practically read her mind...
'There are the cool girls.'
"A transfer student!" Zoe said excitedly as I smiled at her. "Mira! What does Zack and Mai like?" Yui asked with a chirpy voice. "Ask them yourself." Mira said, obviously annoyed.
'And where I belong is...here!'
"Hi!" a girl said to Crystal. "Nice to meet you." another said, sticking out her hand for Crystal to shake. "Pretty eyes." Crystal just stared at the girls.
'Thanks, but you're outsiders.'
I watched Crystal slightly turn her neck to face Daniels, Zack, and Jay.
'There is the cool guy's clique...'
The class had gotten loud, which woke Zack up." Guys... what's the fuss..." he said, still half asleep. Daniel just stared at Crystal with a surprised expression, and Jay wasn't worried about shit.
The rude comments just kept coming as Crystal stayed quiet at the front of the room. I looked over at Daniel and I could tell he was getting pissed. He was most definitely having past memories of his bullying...
