The tension in the air was way thicker. I am not feeling very well so I excuse myself and go on a walk in the woods.

I get lost in the woods. The very same woods I know like the back of my hand. I get tired so I climb a tree and start to doze off. I like to call my shifts glamours, I turned into a bird and I fell asleep hoping no one or thing would bother me.

When I woke up it was completely dark. Confused as to why the lights of the mansion weren't on, I flew to the house still in bird form. I perched up on my old room window sill to see Rita packing a bag. I changed back to my normal self and walked into the room.

"Hey Rita!" I say with a smile. I walked to her and gave her a hug. She pulled back, taking a look at me.

"Oh goodness! You have grown so much dear. Oh how I have missed you!" She says with tears in her eyes. I hugged her again.

"I am so sorry I didn't tell you I was leaving. I know I should have. I am so sorry." I say crying into her shoulder.

She shushes me and brings me to sit on the bed with her. I cry for a few more minutes and finally succumb to small little hiccups.

"Hey, come on, we have to finish packing you up." I look up at her in confusion. She looks over to my old bookshelf. I smile and get up.

"Where am I going?"

"With Rachel and two of her friends. Gar is going too." She answered.

I walk over the bookshelf and lean down to look at the options. I picked out my favorites Labrinth Sprinter, Starving Tournament, and Different.

I stood back up and walked over to the bag. I put the books next to the bag and checked out the remains of it. There was a bunny, a book full of pictures, and a box. The box was full of dead plants all starting to turn brown. I smiled and opened the box to reveal a bunch of different colored rose petals.

I barely knew the boy but something just felt different about him. His name was Jason Todd. I was twelve and he was eleven, but I loved him. We  would hang out everyday but his parents had died so he had to move to Gotham City with his uncle.

Jason and I would always play and mess around in the woods. One day he picked a bundle of different colored roses from a nearby meadow. He had given them to me for my birthday.

"Hey you alright?" Rita asked, pulling me out of my memory.

"Yeah I just missed being here." I half lied. I close the box and shove it into the bag along with the book of pictures and stuffed bunny.

When I was finished we both walked down stairs. I saw Newt, Thomas, Harriet, Sonya, Minho, and Teresa all on the couch. Newt was curled into Thomas fast asleep. I smiled at those who were awake and they all smiled sadly back. I walked to the front door to see Gar talking to Larry and Cliff. Gar looked like he was crying. I went over to say goodbye to Larry and Cliff while Gar said goodbye to Rita.

"Well Maddie, it was good seeing you." Larry said, giving me a hug.

"You too Lare Bear." I say using the nickname I had for him when I was younger. I turn to Cliff and say, "I'll miss you Cliff." I gave him a hug and he hugged back awkwardly. Lastly I turn to Rita and give her a huge hug. "I'll give you a call at least once a week alright?" Rita only nodded.

I walked to the car where a man with brown hair and a woman with pink hair stood.
"Dick." The man said while sticking his hand out.

"Excuse me?!" I ask him in confusion. Calling someone that when you first meet them is really offensive! The woman with pink hair laughed.
