I heard something clatter as I come out of my unconsciousness. I rub the sleep from my eyes and turn to see who it was. Dick. “I thought Robin was supposed to be sly?”
He turns around and eyes me. “So you do remember. I thought you didn’t know me. Amazing act by the way.”
“I wasn’t faking.” I tell him, “When I left Mom and Dad I went to Gotham to find you. But on my way Bruce found me but at the time I didn’t know he was Batman because I only knew him by his name. He must have been taking me to the manor but I got out before he could start the car again. Someone took me and injected me with a poison that took away my memories. I lived nine years without knowing who you were and I don’t even know how.” I tell him my story with tears pricking my eyes. He took my hand, I hadn’t even noticed him move closer, He pulled me into him and I let my tears fall.
“Madeleine…” He starts to say but there was a knock at the door. He went to open it and it was Kori and Rachel. They walk in and come sit on the bed with me.
“Why are you crying?” Rachel asks.
I see Dick in the corner of my eye shift a little. “When I was little I was,” I choose my words carefully, “friends with Grayson. But one day I got kidnapped and someone took my memories that I had. Luckily I got saved by Chief, the same person who saved Gar. The Weird Family must have given me something to make my brain resurface those memories.” I tell everyone.
“Wait, Chief saved you?” We all turned to the door to see Gar now standing against the frame with his arms crossed. I nod my head.
“Can I have a moment with Leine, please?” Dick askes.
Everyone nods and leaves. Rachel was the last one, she gave us both small smiles, she then turned and closed the door.
“We have to go. I know where the head guy that is controlling the Weird Family is. We leave in an hour.” He says and waits a second for my answer.
“Why do they want Rachel… And me?” I ask him.
“That’s why we are going, now get dressed and ready to go, we have to be there before noon tomorrow.” He said.
With that he turned and left, shutting the door behind him. I got ready and packed all my stuff. I fixed my hair and put my shoes on. I heard a knock on the door. I went to open the door only to see Dick with two suitcases and a duffel bag.
He hands me a suitcase. I give him a confused look. “Your suit.” He replies.
I furrow my brows. I set it down on the counter and opened it. In it lies a red suit with an arrow and bow going horizontally across the chest like it is about to shoot. I look at him with a smile on my face.
“I thought you would like it. It’s your old one but a new symbol. I had Bruce call in a favor.” I carefully close the case. When it is closed I run up to him and wrap my arms around his neck in a hug.
“Okay, are you ready to go?” He asks.
I nod my head and get my bags. I lock the case and pick it up. Dick leads me to a small car that I assume is the Weird Family’s. Gar and Rachel are already waiting at the car.
“So, uh, Batman…” Gar chuckles lightly “You know him?
“Of course he knows Batman.” I tell them. Rachel just smiles and laughs at Gar.
“Are we gonna see him? Uh, I’d really like to meet Batman.” He asks.
“Dick starts to get into the car, “No, you’re not.”
Kori comes out and says “Any Luck?”
I go around to my side and get in drowning out what the others say. I think about me being Scarlet. Why would they want me? What do I have to do with anything? Does it have to do with my powers? The fact that I am a superhero?
Dick gets in the car and starts it. Soon we are on the road for what seems like the millionth time.

I must have still needed more rest because some time I fell asleep. Dick shook me awake when we got there. We got out and walked inside to see an old lady and a computer type thing. Dick walks up to it and taps it. A list of all its tenants, which was only one.
“Who’s Adamson?” I ask.
“Come on.” He ignores my question and starts to walk to the elevator with me in tow. He presses the up button and we wait. He looks up and I look in his eyesight. A camera, we’re being watched. We both turn back to the elevator.
“Butterscotch?” I jumped and turned to the voice that spoke.
“Sure.” Me and Dick both say at the same time, we stick out our hands and she gives us the candy.
We wait a little longer and the elevator dings signaling that the elevator is on our floor. We both step in and Dick presses the button to go up. The elevator ride was quite long and very awkward.
“So,” I say, “When we were younger you never,” The elevator came to a stop and Dick quickly fled from the tiny space we had.
I walked out and heard a clatter. Dick and I both turned our heads to the noise. I saw a staircase next to the elevator. I motion Dick to follow and I start going down the stairs. Dick walked in front of me and into the kitchen.
“Detective Grayson, Miss Queen.” I freeze at the name. He knows who we are.
I come out of my daze when I hear my hero name, “What do you want with Rachel and Scarlet?”
“As much as I’d love to have a lengthy conversation with you about Rachel Roth and Madeleine Queen, Detective, I’m afraid there’s no time.” He continues, “You found me. I’ve been exposed. So the organization is sending people to kill us. We have one minute, unless we leave right now. Or we could stay for one last glass of champagne, just the three of us.”
“No one knows we’re here.” I told him.
“I do. So does the woman down stairs. They’re everywhere.” He whispers the last part. All of a sudden there are gunshots.
Dick grabbed my arm and put me in a corner out of the way. He gets up and starts to fight. I follow him not caring if he doesn’t want me to get hurt. I get out my pen and click it, making it turn into a bow. It spits out an arrow but before I could knock it someone hits my head making me go to the floor.
Dick got thrown to the floor next to me but before the men can attack us someone threw a smoke bomb. While everyone was distracted I crawled behind the counter and waited until I heard the fighting stop. I peek over the counter to see a boy dressed in Grayson’s Robin costume.
“Dick Grayson in the flesh. Nice to meet you, bro. I'm the new Robin.”
